About St. Augustine's Sea Kayak And Day Tours
Our kayaking base camp is located on the south side of Kachemak Bay in outer Peterson Bay. We have day trips and overnight packages available at this location. The site is off the road system and accessible by our water taxi. We located our business site at our house address in Homer as we could not put our real business location on Trip Advisor map without a street address.

Friendly crew, and Traven is an awesome guide. Started with a safety brief and instructions. We were on the water fairly quickly. Saw beautiful landscape, a couple of sea otters, and a bald eagle. Felt safe the entire time. Only wish I had done the full day or the full day

We did the 1/2 day trip. The couple running the operation, and our tour guide (Tom) were all great. Tom gave a very good summary of how to operate a kayak and safely instructions. The kayaking was around Peterson Bay. We saw eagles and otters. A great trip for beginners.

Thank you so much for your kind word's about us. We also appreciate the opportunity to talk about our half day and full day trips. Experts with cold water rescue training usually rent kayaks and folks with a lot of paddling experience often opt for our full day kayak trip which can be amazing. We have noticed some interesting changes over the many years we have offered guided sea kayaking. Nowadays very few people request a full day whereas the half day is immensely popular. I think it has a lot to do with living in a world where we are all accustomed to clicking through tv channels and surfing the internet for quick sensational sound bites. For those who are disposed to making a little more of a commitment they are likely to have a very gratifying experience on a full day. That being said we endeavor to make the half day as rich as possible within our time restraints and the distance we can paddle. If one does read the reviews about our half day trips it is obvious that we have done a pretty good job of it. The typical travelers that go out on any of our guided trips or on others in our area are not expert kayakers, but active vacationers that want to see cool things up close and personal from water level.

Wonderful trip for our first Kayaking experience, even a 8hrs full day sea kayaking. We've seen playful sea otter, curious sea lions, and many other sea birds and marine life. Our guild very knowledgeable on everything and share with us along the whole trip.

Full day trip with St Augustine is highly recommended. Our guide Vianney was extremely knowledgable about the marine and land wildlife, plants and area history. We were able to explore Gull Island, Peterson Bay and China Poot Bay, including a short portage and hike on a bear

We did a half day kayaking trip with these guys. Our guide, Tom, was great. He let us get some great pictures of birds (we went ahead of the group a bit). We saw several sea otters and one of them put on a show for us. He was rolling in the water and grooming himself as
