Nice, easy..albeit often muddy and slippery..trail. Mild grade and opens to a spectacular view of Kachemak at the bottom. Some spots have a long drop and slippery surface if wet so watch the little ones, but it is a safe walk to go down and...More

Hiked here the day after a lot of drizzle the previous afternoon. I personally didn't find it tricky. My Hubby & 2 kids (6 & 12yr old) struggled a bit though - really slippery/slushy & some pretty thin parts of the trail near some steep...More

Hiked in the morning at low tide. It was drizzling rain. Trail muddy (of course) and SLICK. Footpath has eroded and there are very deep drop offs. Hiking stick is helpful. Reward is at the end with a lovely stretch of beach. Not much beach...More

We were looking for a good but not too demanding hike. This was a nice 3 hour excursion with a hike down through trees to the beach where we could have walked for hours. Tide was out and so we saw some interesting sea life...More

This was a great hike to get the blood moving after spending 4 hours driving from Anchorage. A little steep going down to the beach, but overall a fairly liesurely walk.

Love this trail, you descend @ 500ft to a secluded beach area. Great views. Not a difficult trail. When you pull in keep on going. It is long drive to parking area. You won't regret this trail.
