Ken and his 1st mate Stephanie, took special care to take us and show us the the wildlife, the eagles, the seals, and waterfalls. It was not just about fishing, it's about the whole experience. I appreciated his way of practicing catch and release that insures the survival of each fish and their general concern for the preservation of fish populations. A good time was had by all!

My son and daughter took my grandson's ages 13 and 17. They could not say enough about their experience. They caught 16 fish! Everyone had a blast . They met Fred the eagle. Stunning photos of the eagle and waterfall where they got a drink of glacial water. Thank you Captain Ken for making this a memorable gift for my family.

Captain Ken and his crew made our day absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! My husband, in his fifties, said it may have been the best day he's ever had on a vacation.
Ken has incredible knowledge of this area and helped my entire family learn so much about the wildlife, the ocean and the world. His boat is lovely and very well appointed and the relationship he's made with the Eagles in this area are UNREAL.
We experienced interactions with eagles unlike anything I can put into words. If you're in Skagway for the day or more, do not miss a trip onto the water with him. Truly special in every way.

I paid a $400 deposit and due to covid I had to cancel. The captain would not refund any of it. I booked another cruise 2 weeks later and he did not respond to my request. Other charters told me they would have refunded the trip. Terrible customer service.

When I take a deposit to hold a spot for them. I turn other people who away who want to go fishing on that day. In this case I held the spot for over 4 months.
If I'm lucky I have 100 days a year to try to stay in business. She informed me 7 days before her group wouldn't be showing up. I told her, if I could find someone else I would be happy to give her a refund. Unfortunately it didn't happen so she didn't get a refund but it's not simple. I lost the other half which was more than her $400. deposit so It forced me to sit on the boat in the Harbor for most of the day hoping someone would come by and want to book a trip.
The next day she informed me she had booked another trip and asked if she could use her deposit on the new date she would be arriving on. Even though I already lost a whole day in my short season, I agreed that she could use it for the new date.
I already had a booking in the morning for the new date but I could take her in the afternoon. Unfortunately when I looked into it her Ship was leaving to early to have time for me to take her.
If an Airline, Hotel or any other large business who take a 100% deposit instead of only 50% like I do, give no refunds it is expected but when small businesses who have much tighter budgets don't give a refund people seem to want to ruin their businesses. That doesn't seem fair to me!

The owner Ken is not a man of his word. I specifically asked him what his cancellation policy was and he said full refund up to 1 week before the trip, no other stipulations mentioned. I canceled over a month before the trip, let him know that I had a death in the family and would have canceled it sooner, but this was my first opportunity. He said sue me and hung up. Not trustworthy.

We booked Never Monday this winter and were in for a great day of fishing when we arrived. Ken, Mary and Wiser (the dog) were great hosts. Even though it rained steady all day we enjoyed the large cabin and coffee inside. We caught two great big king salmon and are looking forward to receiving them at home. I would highly recommend Never Monday over the tours you book through the cruise line.

Awesome adventure in the Taiya Inlet! The boat is a 34 foot charter boat and the captain is one of the guys who pilots the big ferries so you are sure he knows whats up!

I live in Juneau and have fished around here for years. Yet with Capt. Ken's many years of experience on the waters of South East Alaska, I find there's always more to learn. Whether it be about wind and tides, the weather or the wildlife that live in the water or on the land, Capt. Ken has accumulated vast knowledge in all these areas and whether you're looking for bears, whales or king salmon Capt. Ken know where and when to find them. Have had the good luck and pleasure to fish with Capt. Ken many times and he knows the best spots and all the local lore. He tells awesome stories about the area and its colorful past ( and present) and if you are lucky enough to have him cook up your catch for you, you will taste seafood as its meant to be tasted! Hoping to get out for another adventure or two this year with Never Monday crew!

I have been on many a charter and this is by far the most exhilarating and exciting fishing experience ever. You will not be disappointed. I found that booking this boat for a couple days will ensure you have the ultimate Alaska experience.

We are cruising 6/6/2020 -can we keep any salmon or is this catch and release? Thanks

We won't know until next spring some time when the Alaska Fish & Game decide what they think is happening with the King Salmon.
No matter what their decision is just catching a large King Salmon is a lifetime experience.
We fish in the longest deepest Fjord in North America with 6000 ft. mountains going strait up from the ocean on both sides of the mile wide Fjord. It is one of the most beautiful untouched places left on the planet plus the abundant wildlife. All this is part of our fishing trip.

If you go to Never Monday Charters website, there is a phone number you can call. I've used that number in the past. If you have to leave a message, they are usually pretty quick about getting back to you.

Layers. It was a fairly warm day when we went out, but all but one of us tucked inside to have hot cocoa and warm up a time or two. Well worth a little chill.
