This museum has many stuffed animals on display and interesting information about wild animals in Alaska. There are 2 bald eagles on site. The young lady who did the presentation was very knowledgable and I learned some interesting things about them. There was also a special presentation with an owl that our tour group got to see (we were on... More

Abby & Kelly were great tour guides. They provided information on the eagles, hawks and owls that were being treated at the museum due to injuries. The museum was a nice place to visit in Haines Alaska.

We happend to be there when they had an open house, so it was a free visit. We got to tour the museum and the aviary. It was really neat. The interns were friendly and helpful. It is worth stopping by.

This was our favorite museum in Haines. Make sure you see the eagle presentation!! The woman who gave the talk was great, and the live eagles were beautiful. The museum has loads of taxidermy animals from Alaska, with descriptions on each. It was wonderful to see the birds and now know what they are. I highly recommend this museum!

The museum was well presented. They even have a live Eagle that they are taking care of because she was wounded. So they gave a complete description of her habits and lifestyle. The rest of the museum was very well done with some excellent stuffed animals on display.

Being a local Haines person, I love visiting the American Bald Eagle Foundation. Their programs change frequently, they have live birds to view (eagles, owls, etc.) and what I especially like, is that they teach local youth about bird handling. These young folks are experts in local birds and their habitats and do a wonderful job of sharing their knowledge... More

A lot of people have put a lot of work into this place. Amazing exhibits, a lot of history and of course seeing 2 Bald Eagles was pretty cool. Easily spend a good hour or more here. One for families, a really interesting and well worth place to visit.

I've lived in Haines Alaska for 12 years and love visiting the foundation. They have extremely knowledgeable staff and live birds on display. A large collection of local animals and sealife that has been taxadermied so you can see just how tall a grown bull moose is and how massive our brown bears get. Make it a destination on your...
