We did this tour as a cruise excursion. It took a lot of time to get to and from the trail from the ship. We had to take a 45 minute boat ride to the bus that took us to the beginning of the tour and the do it in reverse to get back to the ship. The scenery was... More

By far one of the most amazing experiences I've had while visiting beautiful Alaska. The tour itself has lots of sightseeing, nice weather, and friendly tour guides. They take you up the mountain on 4x4s and halfway up you stop and recieve fresh baked cookies and on the way down they give you a fresh home cooked meal. The tour... More

Following along on a Mule, (four wheel kind) was fun. We had about 10 mules on our tour. Three things we reallyenjoyed. 1) the views we saw 2) the hot cookies we were served half way up the trail 3) the dinner they served us on the way back down They gave us a little history story about the place.... Wow. What a great time. Kyle and John were great tour guides. We learned all about Haines. We took 4x4 to the top of the mountain. The scenery was incredible. We stopped half way in the way up for fresh out of the oven cookies. Went to the top and saw the incredible views of the city. On the way... More

This was a fantastic excursion. We drove a 4 passenger Mule ATV up the mountain, saw beautiful scenery and had plenty of photo opportunities. On the way up we stopped at the lodge for fresh baked cookies and on the trip back down we were served a delicious dinner of salad, roasted potatoes, grilled chicken and fried halibut. The staff... We were two Hawaiians experiencing some of the 49th State's beauty. My wife and I encountered a totally different and beautifully rugged ride up and down the mountain. The meal was ono (tasty)... I couldn't have the cookies, though. :( Overall this was something we are both glad we did.

We had all ages on this one. Grandparents, kids, and of course the parents. We ALL had a great time. The views are amazing, the ride is easy, stress free, and gentle. The food is good and home cooked! The snacks....fresh baked cookies...a kid favorite. For all ages the family enjoyed it.....the staff could nit be nicer, informative, and professional.

We were on the Disney cruise just last week. We took my 14 year old daughter and my 11 year old son. This was the best time of our adventure to Alaska. Our guides were fantastic. I believe their names were Mark and Tracy. Mark made our trip (Tracy was great, too)! He had an answer to every question and... More

The Takshanuk Mountain Trail By 4x4 tour was well planned and well executed. The four adults and 5 yr old were allowed to ride in one 4x4, which is a rare but much appreciated experience since we were vacationing as a family. The tour was broken into several parts: a lake ride on the ferry, a short bus ride, and... More
