We were two couples on a cruise that did this while in Haines. You can do it from the skagway port and they will bring you over on the ferry. It was fun, amazing scenery, super nice people. You felt like you were really in alaska. The trees, waterfall, mountain and views. We stopped and went bluberry picking along the... More

My wife and I took this excursion while cruising with Holland America. We had a wonderful time and the best meal I've enjoyed in weeks! Very well run and well organized 😎 Five stars.

Excellent tour, instruction given on our souped up golf carts and then off through the woods. Stopping every once in a while for great photo opportunities such as seeing a wild wolverine on an opposite snow capped hill. Another highlight was getting to photograph a bear and her cubs that had been attracted by the smell of the food we... More

This was a great excursion which was very different and more personal than the larger group excursions by boat or bus offered through Princess Cruises. Barbara Mulford runs the operation and does a great job with the facilities and equipment. Mark was our bus driver and tour guide while Dick did the cooking at the lodge. Mark was very entertaining... More

We drove our own 4 x 4 up the mountain to ready made and still warm donuts I think they were. John our guide was fascinating on the wildlife and guiding. It was a little scary (nothing to really worry about) going round the bends. On the way back we had home cooked food and dessert and coffee. The oven... More

Driving the Kawasaki "mules" was great fun! The views were breathtaking. The food provided was very good, prepared on site (halibut, chicken, salad, cookies, etc.). Not fancy, but delicious and freshly prepared. Our guide provided commentary on the regional lifestyle, history of the area, and local natural history.

We had a wonderful excursion here from our cruise ship. We had Kyle as our guide and he was very informative, pleasant and helpful. We stopped at the lodge on the way up for a snack and the way back for lunch. Dick is an amazing cook! The trip was amazing! The only thing that would have made it better... More

We had a great time on this, got to drive our own, well maintained, Kawasaki Mule and head up a mountain. Stopped at the lodge for hot out of the oven cookies and refreshments. Mark was exceptionally knowledgable and informative. Ruth was a great guide also. Barb came out to greet us and thanked us. We were fed a wonderful... More
