They did an excellent job of sharing their culture with us. I really liked the headphones they had that allowed everyone to hear the presentations as we were walking.

Tour of area, canoe carved from a single log, cultural center and long house dance. This place is beautiful - alongside a river and replete with forests and native Alaskan culture.

My experience during this optional tour off of Holland America made the trip for me. I really don't want the hit and glance trip, wanted to see the depth of culture in this area. The dancing, the incredible artifacts in the museum, the lovely setting?...More

This center is a must see. We took the self guided tour and the gentleman inside took us through the whole center explaining everything. Not only were the exhibits great but his narration taught us so much about his culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Caught this gem just one day before it closed for the season. At the time, we were the only two visitors, so Jack Strong gave us a personal tour, highlighting his family history. The Heritage Center exists mostly to provide a sanctuary for local native...More

I cannot say how powerful this place is, we were very happy to have as our tour guide, Lani, an elder who has been instrumental in this place coming into being. It is a powerful testimony to the culture and First Nation people of the...More
