We had a super fun time jet skiing with our guide Andrew out to the glaciers. If you aren't experienced, a jet ski can take some time to get comfortable on. I was a bit uneasy the first half an hour or so but then I got comfortable going fast. I would NOT recommend taking a passenger or being a passenger on one though, you can fall off SO easily, and these guys go fast, you gotta keep up, and there are waves at times. I even felt like I was going to fall off just as the driver a few times, LOL. So if you are on the fence riding tandem or solo, just go for everyone riding their own, its way more comfortable and fun. Andrew took some great photos of us out at the glaciers and was just a fun guy all around. They give you dry suits to wear so if you fall in, you won't get (too) wet. Our socks got a bit wet, so definitely bring an extra pair of socks to change into when you're done. You should definitely wear at minimum 2 layers under the dry suit. Like thermals and a hoodie and pants, or even 3 layers if you get cold easily and it's a cold day. They give you neoprene gloves to wear but you can also wear your own if you want. Helmets are optional but everyone in our group just wore beanies and ski goggles and it was just fine. A neck gaiter is great to have as well. There is a pretty good sized dry compartment in between your legs on the machine to put your phone, camera, or whatever else in. If I were going to do it again I would bring my sunglasses! I would definitely do this activity again, it was great, and totally worth the money.

This was our first time on a snow machine and despite the blowing snow and cold temperatures we had a fabulous experience. The winter gear that the company provided was top notch including goggles, jackets, bibs, boots and helmets. Our tour guide, Justin, was attentive to our group of 6 and provided thorough instructions on the operation of the snow machines and how to navigate the conditions and terrain. The glacier is at the half way point and we spent about 30 minutes walking around, asking questions, and eating the basic lunch provided. The company provides you with complete instructions prior to departure and I recommend that everyone in your group read through the materials so that you are well-prepared for the experience.

They took us through a lovely path in the forest, along a small river. The guide took his time, made sure we were comfortable and then increased his speed accordingly. We even crossed a liquid river, on rocks. Did not know it was possible. Then we went to the hills, in the open, for some little jumps and some free time, where we could practice our wannabe "pilot skills" ... ;) There was a massive amount of snow there. Time flew by, but we spent hours driving through half a day. The staff, gear and the machines were amazing. I strongly recommend them!

My wife and I did the 4 day / 3 night kayak and camping tour. Epic doesn’t event begin to describe it! The great thing about the guides is that they can customize each days experience to suit the weather and the guests on the trip. The prepared meals, camping locations, provided gear, and expertise were top notch. I’m confident that ANY trip books with this company would be the same level of quality we experienced on the multi day kayak trip.

Although our half day snowmobile tour was not successful since my wife crashed the snowmobile with a tree before she trip over with the machine the staff were professional and nice, well organized and the part that we ride was absolutely fantastic. I have some suggestions to this company.
1) Before somebody asked to do the tour, they should request some minimum level of experience with any sort of ATV vehicle. This allow the person to have the right reflexes in case something happened. That was not our case and my wife crash because of this.
2) they should have 2 guides per group. One in the front and 1 in the back so the last one can assist to the slowest and less experience in the group. In our case they divide the big group into 2, and each one have one guide. My wife suffers the first incident and if is not by two other persons that assisted her it would has taken some time for the guide to noticed.
3) there is an insurance package, which is fine, given the fact that there is some risk for the equipment. But it was not clear that there is a deductible of 750$. If the damage is beyond that cost you will be charged with that amount. If is less of course you will be charged with the cost of repair and spare parts required. In any case I recommend to take this insurance. It is only 25$ but save you of the financial burden of pay a repair that may cost a lot of money.

I have to recognized that the staff were professional and nice at all moment. And the activity is exciting and if you can complete it it is really fun.

We loved, loved, loved our amazing trip with Wild Guides jet skiing to the glaciers. We apparently had one of the better summer days to see the glaciers and wildlife along the way. Our guide (Jake) did an amazing job of instructing us, pointing out wildlife, taking photos of us when we wanted and letting us zip along the crystal clear, smooth water on the way. The tour is roughly 3 hours of actual jet-skiing and the other hour getting prepared, dressed, rules, instructions, and return of equipment. Whiitier is a beautiful place accessed through the tunnel so you have to time it right. My only suggestion would to bring a change of socks, and definitely bring more clothes than you think you may need under the dry suit because it does get cold on the water. When we returned our socks were wet so I think the dry suits were breaking down a bit. Also bring sunglasses because your eyes water when your moving fast. They do provide goggles but they tend to fog too much, we did not use ours. Kudos to a wonderful tour!

These guys took us out on the snow machines despite an unexpected snowstorm that dumped 10 inches in a few hours. They busted their asses to lay a new trail to make sure we had a good experience. The owner and all the staff were extremely patient with us when we got stuck. It was definitely an adventure and a lot more work than the laid back tame tours I had done before in NM and CO but worth it in the end- crazy awesome experience!

Deciding to take the 5 day Alaska explorer tour, we were not disappointed! Derek and Amanda were our guides and took us on a circa 500 mile adventure in the back country. We were based each day from Talvista Lodge - very homely and great welcome from our hosts, Sarah & Chris. This is not a relaxing tour and you need to need to be fit as it is physically demanding but rest assured you will see some amazing sites and travel around 100 miles each day. We were novices on snow machines with around 14 hours previous experience, do not let that put off as these guys will accommodate your experience level. It is very remote in places and you could be around 120 miles from the nearest road head making the scenery spectacular and not something done by everyone! Wild guides provided all the outer clothing you need including boots and top spec snow machines. The cost includes everything on the trip itself including a meal on your return to talk about the trip and say your farewells. Always having a snack in your pocket though meant you always kept self going.
We rode on already established trails, learning about how they came about, some built by Derek himself and also broke trail throughout the tour. Plenty of powder meadows to enjoy and riding through the birch/pine forests too. We went on a night ride - fantastic to hear all the different sounds and see the place in a different way. There was lots of wildlife to be seen including moose & eagles. Meals provided by Sarah were delicious and plentiful and always a hot shower to be enjoyed. It was fantastic to meet new people, push ourselves outside our comfort zones and be rewarded and bring away memories to last a lifetime. Epic!

My family had a blast on our snowmachining tour of the glacier. We were picked up by the Alaska Guides van at the Alyeska Resort. It’s important to be on time because they run a tight schedule of picking folks up and meeting the last group in the field. Don’t be late or they will leave you. Our first stop was to their office which is about a 5 minute drive. We got geared up, signed liability forms and headed out. We were at the office for about 20 minutes or so before loading back up in the van. We drove about 15 minutes to the area where the snowmobiles were staged and ready. We met our tour guide, Steven (from Texas), and he gave us a crash course in everything we needed to know. There were 6 total machines in our group. The ride was awesome! I highly recommend it. The scenery and glacier was absolutely beautiful. Snow started to fall so it made it even better! I believe I heard them say that it was a 15 mile ride in and 15 mile ride out. Even though it was fun, that’s the perfect amount of time to be out there. While at the glacier they provided a sandwich, snack and hot chocolate. It was exceptionally tasty eating a ham sandwich beside a million year old glacier. I highly recommend this experience. Steven was an excellent guide. Be sure and tip these guys so they can keep doing what they love.

One of the coolest things you can do in a morning in Alaska — Isaac was our guide and absolutely made every effort to make sure we had a great time, couldn’t have been better. Felt like a foreign world out there, highly highly recommend. Felt safe and high energy the entire time!
