This was a very nice resort to stay at. Although it was not ski season they adapt to the other seasons very well and provide plenty of activities such as hiking, site seeing and others. They are a full service resort with all of the...More

Took the cable car to the top of the mountain and had lunch. A wonderful view and lunch can be part of the ticket price. Best to go on a clear day!

the drive from Anchorage to Girdwood is beautiful. Girdwood is a tiny ski resort town about 30 miles south of Anchorage. It was worldclass skiing with runs from beginner to expert, great snackbars, mid level dining and fine dining at the top of MT. Alyeska,...More

Went there for the weekend and it was as breath taking as you could ever see a must visit if you are here. Just a short drive from Anchorage.

We were attending a destination wedding. Seven Glaciers restaurant at the top of the ski area and a wonderful resort at the bottom. Check out the couple skiing down from their wedding at the top to their reception in the resort!

Alaska is awesome. Alyaska is a mediocre ski mountain. Having visited over 50 different resorts around the world, i feel that I can say this with confidence. There are basically two chairs and one tram. on non powder days, finding fun and exciting terrain can...More

Very warm winter season at low elevation. Rained all night last night at 250ft. Snow up top. This morning's report is 30" of new snow top of mountain. Woke up to the avalanche blasting. Looking forward to a great day of skiing.

I asked this question when there in August and was told no. Call Alyeska Resort to see if they have a shuttle you can take. If you can rent a car (I think you have to be 26), it is worth it. A world like no other unfolds... More
