Muri Lagoon is simply stunning and best beachside area in Rarotonga IMHO. Can enjoy great water activities - kayaking, paddle boarding etc in safe and shallow waters. Kayaked across the lagoon to "no touch island" on a couple of occasions and enjoyed good snorkelling off...More

We kayaked on the lagoon, swam and snorkeled in it too. Really nice water quality, some good snorkeling in places, especially further away from the resort area. Excellent for simply lazing around in and beside the water.

I could not believe my eyes all the time. The water was so so so beautiful. I visited Muri Lagoon twice, once with Cruise tour and second time was SUP. Both visits I had wonderful time appreciating the beauty of scenary and mother nature. Plenty...More

The aqua coloured clear waters of Muri Lagoon lure you to this beautiful spot. Enjoy the water activities or walk around the little shops. Buy a pie and a coffee and eat it down at the beach. It's lovely.

This is a lovely spot, the archetypal south sea island view although the week we were here we had rain every other day. We were here many years ago and it is now more commercial than it was - at least 5 glass bottomed boats...More

Spent the day on on one of the islands. We walked accross while floated a chilly bin with drinks. Others kayaked. It was nice to shelter from the wind on the island and the view accross the lagoon to Muri was great. But there was...More

We found travelling on any type of budget, sometimes you are time poor, and cant do some of the 'inclusive' tour options. A great value option is at the Pacific Resort, they have a two hour snorkelling trip in a glass bottom boat for $20...More

Sitting at Sails restaurant looking out over blue lagoon and tropical islands is pure heaven. Watch canoeing, paddle boarding and the glass bottomed boats

Wonderful for a swim and a great hub for eating. While there are fish here, not recommended for snorkelling as there are no coral reefs close in.

I had read that Muri lagoon is polluted. I am very pleased to report that we did not find it to be so. It is a beautiful place and we enjoyed kayaking around the little islands and snorkelling. The snorkelling is good on the western...More
