Friendly and informative crew, great tour taking us to several cool spots along the island. Sub boat meant we could see so much more. Keep an eye out for the giant Trevelli and Turtles!

Had an absolutely lovely time on the Reef Sub! Was the highlight of our trip for our two kids as well. We saw heaps of giant trevally, the ship wreck, puffer fish, heaps of other fish and a turtle! The hosts were really knowledgeable and it was fascinating seeing photos of the ship wrecks and learning more about what we were seeing under the water. Also the gorgeous coral gardens were beautiful. I could honestly sit down there for hours just watching everything. Really recommend this tour!

Staff were lovely but there really wasn't anything to see. No Turtles or anything just two Trevally. Down below was stinking hot and made most feel sick. Didn't enjoy this at all 😕

I’m so sorry that you didn’t enjoy your trip. Every now and again the conditions aren’t what we hope for and we will usually give a partial refund or free entry into the Marine and Wildlife Eco Centre to compensate. The time you went I had leased out the boat to another person, so I can only apologise that this didn’t happen. As of 1 May I’m back at the helm, so if you want to have a better experience, please call me.

We booked this tour through Polynesian Rentals at the Edgewater. the person who booked called the number and spoke to someone, he then called a different number and spoke to someone else giving all our details both times. The boat leaves at 11, they requested us to be there at 1045. We arrived at 1045 and waited till after 11, no one showed up. The most disappointing thing was that this is the 3rd time I have tried to book this excursion, each time it has fallen through. The people at the Reef sub were given our details and room number, it would have taken them 2 mins to call the hotel to let them know that the sub wasn’t operating on that day, and for a note to be posted under our door. Poor communication and a lack of respect for customers. We wont try again, and we will tell all our friends not to bother with this excursion.

Oh dear, that is dreadful. I am so sorry! Totally unacceptable. From September to May I had leased the boat to a 3rd party and they dropped the ball big time for you. If your back on the island any time soon, please call me on 55901, and we will comp a trip for you. This will not happen again, you have my word.

The reef sub is so cool - the kids loved being able to see under the water (not at an age to snorkel confidently so this is the next best thing). The GT are amazing to watch and seeing what’s left of the Maitai is pretty cool. Lovely tour guide. Highly recommended.
