WELCOME TO MARLIN QUEEN FISHING CHARTERS!Serious about Big Game Fishing? Great so are we!Fishing aboard Marlin Queen is the ultimate game fishing experience in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. A successful blend of Rarotonga's best known and most trusted Captain (Junior) with a purpose built deep sea boat means a day out on the ocean doesn't get any better! We work extra hard to make sure your fishing trip is an unforgettable experience! Rain, hail or shine - we go fishing! If it's your dream to catch big fish, you will not find a more dedicated team to help you do it! As soon as you leave the Avatiu Harbour the water gets very deep, very quickly so no time is wasted in getting those lures into the water to find the "Big Ones". Sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular view of the island in a safe and relaxed atmosphere - unless of course you are on our "early bird" trip which leaves at 6am (and it's still dark) to the FAD's to meet the Yellow Fin Tuna when they rise for feeding. The early bird catches the worm - and so do we! The fishing in Rarotonga is great all year round and our well equipped boat has everything you will need. Whether you're a novice or experienced angler your enjoyment is guaranteed. We provide refreshments, snacks, comprehensive safety equipment, flush toilet and use the latest Shimano fishing gear. Captain Junior is famous for making his own lures - guaranteed to attract the Big Ones! Shared and private charters are available and you can choose whether you want to fish for a 1/2 day or full day. Our minimum is one person and for larger groups (over 10) we will organise your own "inter-boat" fishing competition, loads of fun for the competitive at heart. Want the "Ultimate Fishing Holiday"? We specialise in complete fishing, accommodation and transport packages, tailor-made to suit your individual or group requirements. We have a great range of accommodation and transport options to suit your every need and budget, so sit back, relax and let us organise your dream fishing holiday. Don't wait until you arrive in Rarotonga to book your trip as demand is high - avoid disappointed, book your trip now!

We had a great time out on the boat with these guys. There were only 4 clients on the boat, with skipper Tom. The weather was perfect and the fish were biting. It was our first experience at big game fishing and one that we enjoyed. After catching two big wahoo we got to take fish back to our hotel,... More

I have been fortunate to fish all over the pacific and tropical destinations around the globe and I have to say the Marlin Queen experience rates at the very top. From initial contact with Di and Junior to cutting up our catch and feeding the local GTs at the wharf - the service was second to none - professional and... More

Enjoyable mornings fishing but only managed 4 tuna amongst the eight of us. Great service from Di and the team. The boat could do with some engine noise damping, as the vibrations were quite deafening, which made it difficult to hear the skipper, and detracted from the experience. Saw a whale in the distance.

Hi Paul - thanks for taking the time to post a review. Unfortunately the fishing was a bit up and down while you were here on the island (that's fishing) but it seems to be getting better over the past week. The real bonus is that the Humpback Whales have been spotted most trips which is and incredible sight to... More

I own a charter business in Auckland and one of my clients put me onto Marlin Queen. Diane runs a tight ship and they did not disappoint! I learnt a lot from the friendly crew as they worked to put us onto the fish. I managed a good sized wahoo which made my trip to Rarotonga. Thanks Team Cheers Capt... More

If you want a Great day on the Water. Call Diane at the Marlin Queen fishing charters. Four strangers went out for the afternoon with Skipper Tom on their 6.5m Senator. We came back with 7 Yellow Fin tuna where as most boats came back empty. Learnt some island fishing skills thru Tom. They run bigger boats but this was... More

A great day out with skipper Tom Vae, who is very knowledgeable and will endeavour to answer all your questions and help with all aspects of your fishing experience. A full circle of the island is scenic as well as looking for fish. We were a party of 4 friends so was just perfect. We managed to get 3 yellow... More

We had a half day fishing on the 6th of July, with a group of 11 of us. I did briefly look though reviews on here before booking and figured they would be one of the best. I could say our experience with this charter was not as expected and rather boring although i can only speak for half of... More

An excellent way to spend an afternoon. Picked up by Di at our hotel. Dropped at the port to watch Junior filleting the mornings tuna catch. (Have your camera ready. The Giant Trevely hanging around for scraps under the wharf were huge!) Onto their new Senator boat and start trolling for Wahoo with Tom the skipper at the helm. Got... More

We had a great day fishing with Marlin Queen. The arrangements were very straightforward and they picked us up from the hotel at 05:45. The vessel is a 26 foot Bertram, so a seaworthy vessel. The crew provides you with a safety briefing and how everyone is assigned a rod. Unfortunately it was a slow day and we only caught... More
