I've fished with Mike in past years but this year my daughter Nicole asked to go to Alaska with me. Fishing with Mike was the highlight of our trip. Full day trips floating the Upper and Middle Kenai. Every spot we stopped we caught fish....a lot of fish. We were catching rainbows and a variety of salmon but primarily sockeye. (We were in the middle of a sockeye run)
Mike was a good fishing instructor....He had Nicole catching salmon on a fly rod almost immediately. By afternoon, our arms are sore from fighting fish...but with dinner and a little rest we're ready for the next day of fishing.
This stretch of river is very scenic and full of wildlife. Eagles, coyotes feasting on the fish carcasses seemed to be at every bend of the river. When we would stop to eat, Mike and Nicole would have stone skipping competition. There's plenty of good flat skipping stones in that river.
We're looking forward to coming back next summer except this time my wife agreed to come with us. We'll definitely be fishing with Mike!

My brother, nephew and I went out with Mike Adams two full day trips on the middle Kenai and the upper Kenai. On the he middle we caught several trout, a Dolly Varden and a few Sockeye. We were in between runs on the Kenai and had to work for the salmon but Mike’s knowledge and expertise got us on some fish. We brought home 30lbs of Sockeye and we’re thrilled to do so. I highly recommend Alaskan Angling Adventures if you’re in the Cooper Landing area.

Four of us had Mike organize a week-long trip. He did everything to provide us with a once in a lifetime experience.
We had Mike guide us for three of the days. He knew the best fishing spots and we caught more than enough salmon to bring home. He also gave us a day drift fishing for trout and I caught the largest rainbow in my life.
Mike also arranged a float plane trip. He hooked us up with a great guide and pilot and we caught our limit of sockeye salmon within 2 hours.
Finally, Mike scheduled us to go salt water fishing for two days from Homer. The Captain of this boat, again, was excellent and we caught our limit of halibut each day and also caught king salmon.
Beside the outfitting, Mike arranged our lodging--comfortable and perfect to enjoy our evenings.

We had a 6 day 7 night Fishing Adventure with Mike Adams at Alaskan Angling Adventure, who arranged and guided our trip. He guided us on three days of fishing for Salmon and Trout. He is very patient and knowledgeable about fly fishing. We caught our limit of Salmon each day! He also, arranged a fly-in trip and a two day Halibut fishing trip in Homer Alaska. Just look at the pictures don't just believe my words. The accommodations were great, the scenery was awesome and the arrangements were incredible. We saw several glaciers, eagles, moose, whales, orca, and of course we caught FISH, over 12 difference species! If you are looking for your "bucket list" adventure of a lifetime, Mike Adams is your one stop adventure guy. I hope I will be able to do it again.

We signed on with Mike Adams for two days on the Kenai. Both days were amazing; one for Sockeye and the other for trout. Mike put us on fish, provided instruction on how to fish and was very attentive to ensure our catch was landed. He's very knowledgeable of the river and the area with our safety and the preservation of the wildlife as a high priority. Would fish with Mike again and highly recommend his services.

Mike was the absolute man. My buddy and I came to Alaska with high hopes and expectations and Mike delivered. We did a 3 day trip with him and fished the upper part of the Kenai, the Canyon and the mouth of the Skilak. Great all around experience and above all - we learned the RIGHT way to fish and be respectful of the ecosystem.

We went with a mix of friends and family for five days with Mike. He was patient when he needed to be and determined to have us catch fish and show us his love of the surroundings. He is an excellent oar’s man, as on this deep, fast, and cold water, which is more intimidating than the usual streams of Colorado. we were all able to enjoy ourselves, feel comfortable and catch many different species of fish. Even my wife who went for one day had a fantastic time. We encountered other guides and anglers, and without going into specifics, it was obvious Mike has a high degree of ethics and experience. His love of the ecosystem and ability to have us all enjoy it was first rate. My recommendation is without reservation.

Mike was great with teaching us how to use the fly rods and knew the sweet spot on the river. Great fishing and beautiful scenery. Highly encourage anyone wanting to try fishing on the river to use Mike!

My wife and I spent the day fishing with Mike and its was a completely first class adventure. No matter what your level as long as you're interested in having fun, learning and catching fish Mike is your guy, I've been fishing since I was 4 but by my wife is new to fishing and Mike did a great job of providing what we both needed to improve our ability and learn the water. At the end of the day we both had limits and and the understanding of why we caught the fish. Its obvious Mike takes a lot of pride in his work and his clients success.

Mike was professional, skilled, and knowledgeable. We caught a ton of fish and most importantly, had a ton of fun doing it. He took the time to work with me individually, and offer feedback, pointers, and coaching. I feel like I'm a better fisherman after spending a day with Mike. I highly recommend you hire him for your next trip on the Kenai.
