The ‘must do’ day lagoon cruise aboard the 21 meter Polynesian style Vaka Titi ai Tonga.Every morning at 10am Mondays to Saturdays, the sound of the conch shell signals the departure of the Vaka for six hours of lagoon magic. There’s snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing to do before tucking into to an island barbecued lunch of fresh caught ocean fish served on board and accompanied by a full bar service.Visit several motu (small islets) and beach comb at One Foot Island before returning past the old TEAL flying boat base. Impromptu entertainment by the crew will have you tying pareu, weaving coconut leaf plates or humming island tunes. They are always happy to provide snorkelling lessons for first timers.

There are many cruise boats, they all go to much the same places. Highly recommend Vaka. The boat is big enough, there is shade and space to relax. The food for lunch is very very good, and plentiful. Paul, the boss, is a funny host and very knowledgable. The team are friendly and helpful all day. I would recommend Vaka... More

This day trip was a highlight of our time in the Cook Islands. The knowledge of our guide and personal attention was an unexpected treat. We went snorkeling, visited One Foot Island, saw where Survivor was shot, went on a mini nature hike and had a wonderful freshly grilled lunch. This is a must do! Would give it 10 stars... More

This was by far the main highlight of our whole vacation. We were staying in Rarotonga, but we booked a day trip through Air Rarotonga and did the Lagoon cruise on Aitutaki. The trip included a pickup/drop off shuttle from our lodgings to the airport, a guided open bus tour of the main island of Aitutaki, a lagoon cruise throughout... More

Book this cruise now! Visited 3 Islands on a traditional Vaka with a couple of snorkeling stops thrown in. The most entertaining crew members with a great sense of humour and knowledge of ancestry. Great storytelling. Amazing meal while we cruised through the turquoise waters. The scenery on this adventure was breathtaking. I want to go again.

Both times the staff and owner make you feel like long lost friends. The experience around the islands of the lagoon is fantastic with some historical and cultural knowledge shared. This cruise is a must do.

We flew from Rarotonga to Aitutaki and was picked up for a tour and cruise. It was so amazingly beautiful that it is hard to put into words. The staff was very warm and entertaining. I did not expect to be entertained by such an amazing staff. The meal on board the cruise was one of the best I had.... More

What can I say? The cruise was FANTASTIC!! The beautiful blue beaches and white sand, the warm water, the snorkelling and petting giant trevallies (amazing!!!)... it felt surreal. The food was probably the best meal I've had on Aitutaki... it was mouth watering!! Paul, the host, was so kind and fun, and he always checked on his guests to make... More

We took this day trip in December 16, flying from Rarotonga. We had a wonderful day with stunning scenery and friend informative staff. Lunch was supplied which was of great quality. Even though I feel this trip is overly expensive it was well worth the extra layout and never been to a more beautiful place. If you can afford it... More
