My husband and I didn't know about this dive shop and only dove with them because our cruise captain called them to arrange a dive in advance. We were really glad he did because Julien and his crew were a super friendly and fun bunch, and really knowledgeable about their business. I hadn't gone diving in a long time and... More

I dove multiple times in French Polynesia(Bora Bora, Raiatea, Moorea) and had by far the best experience in Raiatea with Hemisphere. I dove with the Farid and Lori They were very experienced and Farid's fantastic sense of humor was helpful in lightening me up(I hadn't dived in years previously so was a bit nervous). Both spoke very good english and... More

This was the last of my dives on my trip, but easily two of the best. Farid picked me up from my ship and took me straight to the dive shop where they got me kitted out with a shorty (wetsuit), mask and fins. When I got on the dive boat, it was clear that our tender driver and the... More

The majority of the reviews here are positive, but I had a bad experience with them. The instructor (Julien) didn't ask me any question about my experience level nor briefed me about the place we were going to dive. The weather was bad, the sea was really rough, and it was a difficult dive by itself. This should have been... More

Hello Gabriel, I’ve just read your message on tripadvisor and i don’t understand why you wrote this message. When you arrive at the dive center you complete a form, i have the form in front of me now. I know that you are Open water, you dove with me the 11th september and you dove 1 week before that. I... My 3 week stopover on Raiatea I spent mostly underwater and with Hemisphere Sub no wishes remained open. They picked me up every day on time at the meeting point. Farid and Julien with their good command of English helped me with all my questions and wishes. Miri Miri with the blacktips was really really nice, the first whale songs... More

Julian is a great guy to dive with. Super friendly. Picked us up on our boat. Got right back to us every time. Dive site was excellent. Great experience. I've had some arrogant dive masters in Tahiti - Julian is NOT one of them. Highly recommended!

Hemisphere is located in the Apooiti Marina a 5 minute drive from the Raiatea Lodge where I was staying. Farid was my guide on the two dives, the Roses and the Nordby. I was relieved that there was some nice coral and more fish in Raiatea than in Moorea. Farid was great to dive with and knew where to find... More

I'm an experienced diver and bought an inter- island dive packet from Bora Diving. I was traveling aboard the cruise ship Holland America as the lecturer on Marine Biology. First the diving in Bora Bora was horrifying - Dan the dive "master" treated coral like it was dead rock which it soon will be.Thanks Dan, Then we were supposed to... More

We booked Hemisphere through our hotel on the island. We were picked up and brought to the marina. Luckily we were the only 2 going for our first time. It was very laid back, relaxing experience. We signed a quick paper, did a walk through of what we were about to do and in no time we were on the... More

It was the best of dives. It was the worst of dives. And they were both the same day with Hemisphere Sub, Raiatea, French Polynesia as part of shore excursion from our cruise ship. The first dive was supposed to be a drift dive along a coral reef wall. There were five of us, plus the dive master. The plan had been... More
