I used Scubapiti for my referral dive certification (online class and confined water sessions at home). They were fantastic all around.

The initial communication over email from Maeve was very informative with quick responses to my questions. She explained that they offered a series of one lagoon session and three open water sessions spread over 3 days with varying times. Lagoon at 11am on day 1, two open water sessions at 07:10 and 09:10 on day 2, and the final open water session at either 07:10 or 09:10 (based on availability) on day 3.

When I arrived, everyone at the shop was very friendly and professional. Maeve introduced herself and explained the process to me. My first day was with Marama, and days 2 and 3 were with Tuter (sp?). Both dive instructors were attentive and always made me feel safe. I was with a group of 2 other french ladies getting their certification for all three days. Both Marama and Tuter would provide all of the instruction in French first, and then pause to explain everything in English to me. When we were underwater, we all spoke the same language though!

The lagoon session at 10 meters, was still a short boat ride away from the dive shop, so I got to experience exiting and entering the boat all 4 sessions. The open water sessions were at 20 meters and gradually introduced new skills each session while continuing to reinforce the already demonstrated skills in the previous session. Once above water and back aboard the boat, my instructors did a fantastic job reinforcing the skills I mastered and provided good pointers and feedback to improve on some of my blossoming skills such as buoyancy control, air consumption, and energy conservation.

I highly recommend Scubapiti if you are looking to get certified. If you are already certified, they offer a unique option where you can book just one or two dives since they go back to the pier after every dive to exchange tanks. So if you want to just fit in just one dive at 9 in the morning and get some extra sleep, they can provide that for you! The certified divers have a separate divemaster that is not working with the trainee divers.

Captain Titeahu and Guide Caroline provided leadership, wisdom, and joy to create our most favorite excursion of our week in Moorea. Our whale encounters on this morning cruise were phenomenal and epic. Life long memories! This doesn’t happen unless your captain and guide have a deep connection and reverence for all creatures in the ocean and Titeahu and Caroline have this connection. They promoted safety and respect first and foremost. Titeahu grew up on Moorea and you could feel his love and special relationship with the whales. This makes him the best captain for these sacred encounters. Caroline has traveled the world. Such exuberance for life, adventure and whales! Our group of 9 had a fabulous time. When we come back to Moorea, we will seek out Captain Titeahu and Caroline. Scubapiti was very organized and timely, and the fare was, well, very fair. Highly recommend this company and especially our two leaders.

Just back from 2 weeks in French Polynesia and a week of it spent on Moorea. One day spent with Scubapiti for 2 dives. They were great making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our group was made up new divers and some more experienced but they managed us perfectly and kept us in a small group of 5. They were professional, kind and ensured that all questions were answered and that we had the best dive experiences we could. we saw turtles, sharks, rays, huge titan triggerfish, and tons of reef fish, and just thoroughly enjoyed our time under the water both dives that day. Thank you so much to Scubapiti and their wonderful staff for making our dives magical and unforgettable.

The dive sites are amazing (all shops use the same). This shop had the ability to speak fluent English... but inevitably only catered to the French guests. Safety was a very distant concern. Did a 10 dive package and on every dive my BD and I saw someone have to share air. No safety checks getting in water (one guy jumped with out air on) and never watched to see who surfaced. Every man for himself!

Just back from a week stay at Linareva in Moorea. We enjoyed two dive days (4 total dives) and a half-day snorkel trip with Scubapiti. This is a great team. We had great communications with Maeva leading up to our visit. She was quick to respond, confirm and quick to help with any questions. Once on the boat, Henri and his team of guides were professional, kind and committed to ensuring we had great dives. They do a great job managing the new divers and the more experienced divers. The snorkel trip was coordinated by our hotel, Linareva and our two families (8 total passengers) had a lovely time. We saw many spinner dolphins, sharks, turtles, rays and tons of fish. Many thanks to Maeva, Henri and the whole team at Scubapiti

I took my open water certification classes with Scubapiti. Caro was my instructor and she is incredible! She's attentive, patient and very thorough. She knows how to build and develop a student's confidence, which is a very special gift. She did exactly that for me. I have a solid foundation and I'm excited about diving because of her!

We scuba dove with Scubapiti and were pleased to have them accommodate us rather last minute for an excursion. We had Angie as our guide. It was a beginning/discovery dive for two of the people in our party. Angie checked in on the new divers regularly and made sure we were all well taken care of. She had a lot of funny jokes and pointed out cool sea creatures. We saw a turtle, shark, and a lot of beautiful fish, of course. She was our one woman team - dive master, captain, and crew! We liked her a whole lot and are grateful for our wonderful memories from our Scubapiti dive.

Henri took my daughter for an introductory diving trip twice. The first day, he took her to a spot where they saw a large school of eagle rays and turtles. As soon as she came back up on the boat, she requested another dive the following day. Henri was so knowledgeable, calm, and kind. Now, our plan is to go back snorkeling during whale watching season in October. Thank you Henri!

The entire staff was amazing! We interacted with all of them as our family went diving with them and we did a whale watching trip on our last day in Moorea. Everything from reservations, equipment and professionalism were top notch. Marama, our guide was amazing! He really ensured that we were looked after and made us all feel safe and comfortable on our dives. He is the epitome of a great host. Thank you!!
