We woke up before sunrise and hit the top of Belvedere Lookout before anyone else and got to watch the sunrise. Truly incredible experience!!! After hanging out there for a while we hiked into the jungle for a while. The trail is well definite, but it's hard to tell how long you have to go before it will loop so... More

We rent a scooter and spend half day riding by the island. You must take some time of your day to go to Belvedere and enjoy a beautiful view from the bays just in front!

We rented a scooter and I would advise anyone visiting to Moorea to just go ahead and get a car. But whether you scooter, drive, walk or fly, this spot is a must-visit.

While vacationing on Moorea, I spent a day cruising around the island. ATV guided tours and guided bus tours were available, but I opted to rent an automobile and head out on my own. There's a road, some 38 miles in length, that circumnavigates the island. A most scenic route. But the high point of my day trip, literally and... More

It,s 4km up the road and we did it by bicycles. Coming down was much easier and faster too. From Beldevere you can see the both great bays at the same time. And not just that the mountains around and above you are fantastic. By the road we picked a lot of passion fruits. And if you like to go... More

We took an ATV tour up to Belvedere Lookout. That was a lot of fun, and the views all the way up were amazing. You'll be able to see both Cook's and Opunohu Bays from the lookout, and you'll get to take some beautiful pictures. The mountain that lies between the bays looks like it's straight out of a fairytale!

Not sure if my problem is with the lookout (which is fine, not great) or with the ATV tour that took me there (which wan't great). Don't get me wrong, the view is good. You can spot both bays. And avocado trees, which I had never seen before (so I thought that was cool). But come on, this isn't the... More

Unfortunately you do need a good sunny day to go here. The view is amazing, can see both bays. If there is a cruise ship in its exiting to see it from here. On the way there are interesting places to stop. The agricultural college is one - make the most divine jams.

While you're in Moorea, don't miss visiting Belvedere Lookout for a magnificent view of Cook's Bay and Opunohu. Along the way, you'll pass charming homes and get a glimpse into the lives of the Islanders. At the top, on a clear day, you can almost see forever. We used Albert's Tours (air conditioned bus) and were not disappointed.

We took the ferry from Tahiti to Moorea for the day. We rented a car, and drove around the island. One of the sites to see, was at Belvedere lookout.....and it didn't dissappoint. Once you got up to the top, and the road was all paved, it had specatcular views of 2 of the bays on Moorea....made for some great... More
