Expensive 'show-time' when the real thing is a stone's throw across the lagoon

We joined the 30 mins swimming with dolphins as a free activity from our honeymoon package. It was a bit different from what I expected. The dolphins are kept in a few pools and we swam with the dolphins in a group of 6 in a relatively small pool. It would be a excellent activity for small kids. The staff... More

For our 11 year olds birthday, we booked this experience for him and his 16 year old brother. It was too expensive for the whole family to do it, so just the boys took part. They loved it. The youngest is not a strong swimmer, so he was in a life jacket and perfectly happy. The dolphin pools are about... More

We did the middle of the 3 encounters offered, the one where we were in deep water with a dolphin. It was amazing to see how gentle these big creatures can be and to see how well they respond to the trainers commands. Highly recommended! Although you can not take your own pictures a cameraman and videographer were in the... More

The Moorea Dolphin Center is a dream come true adventure. They offer several different photo packages taken by a professional photographer, well worth the money. Beautiful scenery, and the interaction with the dolphins was fun and educational.

We stayed in InterCon Moorea for 4 days and our stay wasn't that pleasant (you may wish to see my another review)... but our experience with the Dolphin Centre was cool :) Our OWB was near the Dolphin Centre so we actually have chance to see the lovely dolphins several times a day (which was such a blessing). On one... More

We stayed at the Intercontinental that this dolphin center is at and our Bungalow was just a few steps away. They are a bit overpriced for what they offer but if you want to have a first hand experience with dolphins, this is as good a place as any in Tahiti. The dolphins are well taken care of and everyone... More

I was staying at the Intercontinental so saw the dolphins every day. I am conflicted by my feelings of distaste at seeing the dolphins held in captivity and my enjoyment at watching them up close each day. Initially I thought the pools were much too shallow until I found out from a dolphin watching excursion that the dolphins generally live... More

My wife and daughter experienced an up close and amazing adventure with these magical animals. These Dolphins are 20 plus years old and have been in captivity there entire lives. They are beautifully cared by a loving staff and I would recommend this to anyone. I am a 35 year scuba diving enthusiast and loved it.

A visit to the Moorea Dolphin Center was included in our package while staying at the Intercontinental. We likely would not have done this if it was not included as it is a bit expensive especially if you want to purchase the pictures and video at the end. That said, it was really neat to learn a bit more about... More

Costs a lot (about $NZ250) however a once in a lifetime opportunity so our teens did it. They both loved it & got to see the dolphin up close, touch it & even kiss it! Saddened me to think of the dolphins being in such a small enclosure though...
