Our 5 1/2 year old LOVED this musuem, weren't sure about it when we walked in, but as we went through it he enjoyed more and more and some of the exhibits were really interesting! Good practice for our Spanish as well. Worth the trip...More

Some interesting stuff- especially on the 2nd floor where they have local art exhibits. Very nice works of art. Sketchy neighborhood. We walked from center of Downtown san jose right through the neighborhood they call " La Dominicana". Very seedy, but no one bothered us....More

Always funny, my kid is only six and he loves to learn more every day you can find detailed things about animal, history, science, etc the staff is always happy and helpful can't say the trip could be better, recommended for everybody any age.

There are some cool exhibits for kids, but this museum is in a sketchy part of town. I would never recommend it for tourists.

Hi, Nancy! San Jose, the capital city is about one hour from the coral reefs in the Pacific Ocean and four hour distance to the reef in the Atlantic coast. In both senses there are excellent roads.
