We are in Costa Rica for 9 months and we will definitely be visiting this museum a couple mor times. We spent 3 hours at Museo de los Ninos on the day before Dia de los Ninos. I think it was more crowded than usual because they were having special events going on. They gave each child a bag, and... More

I take my kids here at least twice a year (usually during the school vacations). It's a fun day once in a while. They have actually made some improvements of late and we haven't had the chance to see it all recently. My kids love it but they were born in CR and have only been to one children's museum... More

We went here expecting to see some art and instead walked into a kids fun zone. There was only 1/2 a floor of this converted prison dedicated to a musuem. The rest is nothing but screaming brats and pushy parents. A headache.

My son held his 6th birthday party there and they did a great job. Super spot for a rainy day when the kids are bored.

We have been to children's museums throughout the world. I won't say this one is world class but it is very nice. It is very big with lots of variety. Our son is 9 and daughter 8 and they enjoyed it very much. You could easily spend a half day there. Nice cafe with variety of foods on site. The... More

The Children's Museum used to be a jail and that gives the place a weird feeling as you explore the labyrinth of rooms filled with games, bright colors and toys. It's a blast for kids and for adults there are photography galleries for the exceptional work done by the national Photographer's Club members.

My daughter loved the Castle which used to a fort converted, her best experience was the Walmart Shopping Center where was given 5Mil Colon and a miniature shopping cart and could shop til you drop then had to check out with a real clerk! The kids will love this and the cost is less then $3 US dollars. Enjoy!

Lots of wonderful displays and hands on exhibits. My 4yr old like lots of the things, and some of the staff was on hand to explain the concepts of various areas. Better for those even just a little bit older, however.

This an inexpensive fun activity to do with your kids. I don't have kids, but I enjoyed it. If you're into architectural stuff, this is a very cool building.
