Most stalls had standard touristy souvenirs, but a few had things that were less common (and perhaps not mass produced). Most of the vendors were pleasant, but a few were pushy. We didn't buy anything so I can't really say much about prices or bargaining....More

There are lots of things to purchase here but the stall workers are so aggressive, it was incredibly stressful. E still bought a few things and we haggled but it wasn't an enjoyable shopping experience.

Loved the market! The people and vendors were great and prices very reasonable for beautiful things. Very willing to negotiate as well. Wish I could fly back down to shop so,e more or that they could ship things!

We purchased personalized key chains and other things there for friends. Prices are negotiable and fairly reasonable. It's worth a look

This market is a bit smaller than the mercado central, it had less people and the offerings were interesting to see (what Costa Rica agriculture produces). Was worth the short visit.

Do not go expecting a place that you can get unique souvenirs. Everything was good - but mass produced and nothing different than what's available in an airport store. If you want unique handicrafts - check out Galeria Namu.

Yes, some of the stalls offer the same old same old as you can find pretty much anywhere in San Jose, but also there are rare finds and true workmanship amongst them. Also if you are looking for that particular Boruca mask or something, the...More

It was a great 2 hours visit in the Mercado' we enjoy the shopping of souvenirs and mainly the smell from the fast food shops and the local bands who play local music over the weekend between the shops

We went to this market in the afternoon and there were a lot of shops. The products are original and not made in China. My friends bought some objects as souvenirs and gifts.

Vedors sell all manner of things, but not as cheap as one would think (though of course you can bargain). A lot of the products were not actually made in Costa Rica. A great place to buy unique souvenirs.
