The Jade Museo, like all the other Museo in San Jose is well run, tight security but friendly security people, and if you are disabled you have access to a wheel chair. The people in the Museo are always willing to help you and several...More

Spent two hours touring the facility. I found it informative and interesting but young teens were somewhat boring.

The museum is 5 stories, filled to the brim with archeological findings. In fact most of it is not Jade. It is also a history lesson on shamans, funeral rites, war and all other things artisans made.

What a treat! Five floors of exhibits...great collection of everything Costa Rican. We enjoyed the exhibits very much. Be cautions though, it is pricey. We paid $15.00, which I found expensive. The place, however, is impeccably well maintained.

Best museum in San Jose! Loved exploring the several floors of Costa Rica's history and culture. The ambience of each room made you want to know more and I must also complement the cleaning staff as the place is immaculate.

This isn't just a museum of jade artifacts. This is a history of Costa Rica with jade artifacts displayed among many displays. Beautiful and informative. Well worth the price of admission. To visit all four floors, allow three hours. Four if you do photography.

The relatively newly installed and curated collection of jade artifacts in this museum is one of the highlights of any visit to downtown San José. The quality of the items selected for display is exquisite and the level of curation is of the highest order....More

Love the way things are displayed and amazed at the variety of wonderful items made of jade. Work y h the price for having seen 5 floors of displays on both jade, and pottery.

Nice collection of artifacts. Some jade, but mostly ceramics. Five floors. Nice staff. Next door is a "tourist market". So you can kill two birds with one stone!

Yes you may. They have a very small souvenir shop. I found the prices to be a bit high, but that seems to be standard at museums.
