I had the pleasure of working with Amanda at Costa Rica Travelling Tours for a two-week trip in December, and I cannot recommend her enough! I started with zero knowledge about Costa Rica and just a vague idea of where I wanted to go. I found Amanda highly recommended in the "Costa Rica Travel" Facebook group and decided to reach out since she’s a local expert.
Amanda responded to my inquiry immediately, asking thoughtful questions and quickly coming back with a detailed itinerary. She suggested amazing locations, hotels, and activities, tailored to my preferences. We went back and forth many times as I had lots of questions and changes, but Amanda was always incredibly patient, helpful, and responsive.
She went above and beyond to make everything seamless. Amanda booked our rental car at a discounted rate, managed last-minute changes to drivers and drop-off locations, and even recommended a hotel switch closer to the trip for a better location and rate. The hotels she found were incredible—hidden gems I’d never have discovered on my own. We had amazing guides on tours she booked that provided informative and unforgettable experiences.
Her communication was stellar throughout the entire process. We handled all the planning via email, and she typically replied in under 12 hours (often immediately). Just before the trip, she suggested switching to WhatsApp for even easier communication. She sent helpful reminders the day before each reservation, complete with confirmation details, and continued to answer all my activity-related questions promptly during the trip. Amanda even took care of booking additional activities on the go!
Payments were secure and simple, and I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. It truly felt like I had a knowledgeable friend handling every detail for me.
Whether you need help with one hotel or a fully customized itinerary, Amanda and her team deliver excellent service, thoughtful suggestions, and peace of mind. I can’t recommend her enough—she’s a game changer for Costa Rica travel planning!

Amanda is the most organised and responsive travel operator. Amanda listened to our ideas and suggested hotels snd what we could do on day trips in each area. We tweaked a few suggestions and agreed a reasonable price for hotels snd tours. We made some tours private at a small extra cost, that was worth it as we made sure we did and saw what we wanted on hikes. We got a full itinerary travelling from the Capital to Tortuguero, to La Fortuna, Monteverde, Quepos, and the Osa peninsula. Everything went like clockwork. The day before we got sn e mail reminding us of pick up times smd meeting points as well as advisories on clothing and what to take. Her drivers, hotels, tour guides and travel companies were all responsive, friendly, kind and English speaking i cant speak highly enough about Amanda- she even responded to questions out of hours. Amazing. Thanks Amanda, i will recommend you to everyone i know. We will use you again if we return to CR x

We just returned from our Costa Rica trip, and it was truly one of the best vacations we've had! Our group was quite large, consisting of 6 adults and 6 kids, so we decided to work with a travel agency for assistance with tours and transportation. We are so glad we chose Amanda's agency – her service was exceptional. She helped plan our activities and made excellent recommendations that suited everyone, from kids to adults.
We spent three nights in La Fortuna and another three in Manuel Antonio. These locations are quite a distance from the airport, and with such a large group, it was crucial to have transportation planned in advance. Amanda coordinated everything seamlessly, ensuring our transportation was aligned with our itinerary.
We had most of our tours pre-booked with her, with a couple of additions, like zip-lining and ATV rides, made during the trip. Amanda was attentive to these changes as well and made sure everything went smoothly. She always responded promptly to any questions we had during the trip, making the experience even more enjoyable.

This was my first time going to Costa Rica and I didn't know what to expect. I was overwhelmed with the amount of planning involved with the limited time. I have I reached out to Amanda because of the reviews I saw on various social platforms, including Facebook and I must say, I concur.
Amanda made my trip so much easier from planning to communication to providing resources.
She was highly responsive before during and after my trip anytime I had a question or needed something she would respond right away even outside of her business hours she planned my itinerary to with the finest detail, ensuring my transportation flight excursions and accommodations are efficiently coordinated throughout the trip.
I highly recommend using her for planning any trip to Costa Rica you're in good hands with her.

Just wanted to add my positive comments which echo all of the other positive comments. I contacted Amanda quite close to my departure date with an idea to do the short trip to the mountains before meeting my friends in the Tamarindo area. Amanda was on vacation but came straight back to me, I think we first spoke via email on the Friday and by the Monday I had my trip booked. It included a first night hotel close to the airport with a free shuttle transfer and Amanda was on hand to assist when the bus was delayed. Every subsequent Shuttle bus arrived on time, every excursion bus arrived on time, every hotel was expecting me. Amanda communicated the next days schedule via Whatsapp the day before. I made one change which was to take the shuttle bus from my final hotel in San Jose' to my friends in Tamarindo area (in fact the exact location was Huacas). Amanda had that all booked within half an hour. I had been a bit nervous about the whole trip beforehand and it was so reassuring to have access to an English speaker who could deal with any local issues in Spanish if need be. I would rate the service I received from Amanda and her team as outstanding and would absolutely use this travel agency again on any future trip. Muchas Gracias Amanda!

Amanda was absolutely incredible to work with and made our time in Costa Rica unforgettable. We stayed in the Tamarindo and Playa Hermosa area and she helped schedule a few excursions for a family trip of 7 people. 4 adults and 3 kids (9, 12, and 15 years old). We had a day trip including a hike to La Leona waterfall, which was such a beautiful experience. She also organized a day trip to La Fortuna which included the mistico hanging bridges, ziplining, and Los Lagos hot springs. We had a blast that day, full of adventure. Both of these days also included a dedicated private driver which was perfect to fully enjoy the experiences with zero worries or responsibilities. She also organized a private sailboat trip where we snorkeled, beach hopped, and had a full bar and tasty lunch available to us. She is easy to work with, quick at responding, detail oriented, very helpful, and most importantly - had the best prices by far, as I got quotes for the same activities from several other companies and their prices did not even compare. Don't think twice, just sit back and let Amanda craft an enjoyable vacation for you and your family!

Amanda was amazing to work with! I was overwhelmed at the thought of trying to plan our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Using her was the best choice! I told her what all we wanted to do and she planned and booked everything. We wanted to see and do a lot so we had a pretty full schedule but still had downtime in the afternoons/evenings which was perfect. She sent daily reminders the day before telling us what we’d be doing and what time to be ready to leave or meet our driver. She also typed up a daily itinerary for us. It was sooo great not to have to think about anything. She also sent a document with what to pack and she gave restaurant recommendations for each town we visited. I can’t recommend her enough!!

I’ve used Amanda’s services for transportation and tours on 2 separate trips to Costa Rica (2022 & 2025), and both times were flawless. She was incredibly proactive, ensuring I had all the details about where to meet my driver, which made everything stress-free. The vans were spotless and very comfortable, and her drivers were always professional.
A special shoutout to Victor, who went above and beyond when we traveled six hours from Monteverde to Tambor via the ferry. When we arrived and found our car rental agency closed, he quickly took us to the local airport and tracked down the rental staff—truly exceptional service!
I wouldn’t hesitate to use Amanda’s services again and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

I had unique requests and tours to be done around San José and Amanda was extremely accomodating. She provided me with options and helped me program my limited time smartly. We got timely reminders and everything ran smoothly. The tour guide, Adrian, was knowldgeable and the drivers were professional and courteous. Presidente Hotel was great for the cost and conveniently located to get a quick feel for the city sites. The breakfast was delicious! Even though it rained we were able to get the city tour done with some minor adjustment - a stop for a welcomed coffee at the National Theater while the rain stopped. Thank you for a great experience - Pura Vida!

I used Amanda's service to book a corcovado tour and also book a taxi for my Costa Rica trip . She was very responsive and was always available to answer your queries, and went above and beyond to help us whenever needed. She helped with some travel advice and was always available on whatsapp for answering any queries we might have. I generally do not use agents when I travel and prefer to do the planning myself, for the Corcovado tour since there were too many moving parts, I thought of availing the service and Amanda made it so smooth and seamless. I would definitely recommend her and will consider using her service in any future visits .
