Lorena at CRT was helpful answering pre-tour e-mail queries promptly, and the Hotel El Presidente she booked for us in San Jose for our first and last nights was excellent. Manuel at the BMW dealer was also helpful on pick-up and return. We just rented the bike (F800GS) and toured for two weeks having arranged accommodation ourselves. We covered the... More

A great country for motorbiking. I have toured extensively in Chile, Argentina and Brazil and the roads in Costa Rica compare very well. Surprisingly the quality of the pavement is excellent. The government has made great strides. Traffic was generally light. We did underestimate how long it takes to get to your destination. Average speeds are slow, with twisties and small... More

We chose the self-guide tour and rode Bmw 1200GS and F700. Lorena communicated well with us before the trip and it all went pretty smoothly. Be prepared for longer travel times than the estimates and be sure to take a GPS. Manuel at the Bmw dealership was great.

If you ride, you are going to love this experience. Communication with Lorena was good and we had no problems with the bikes (both BMW, one 700 and one 1200). We decided to ride without a guide. My bike was pretty banged up, nothing major, just lots of scrapes, small dents, etc. I share this only because when you sign... More

Having already toured 4 European countries with motorcyclists, I was quite looking forward to experiencing Costal Rica & Panama with my son and local guide, thanks to excellent pre-trip communications with Costa Rica Motorcycle Tours. Absolutely every detail was attended to professionally with competence and cordiality, before, and during the tour. The BMW bikes were practically new, the hotels comfortable,... More

Historical building is interesting, historical painted carts. Pre=Columbian artifacts ar quite extensive. Gives one an overview of Costa Rica's history. Also has a lovely butterfly garden.

I can't say enough about how great this trip was (except that it was too short!). All of the hotels were first class, very interesting, and with great services. We spent the first day touring San Jose while staying at El Presidente hotel, a first rate hotel in the city. We picked up the bikes at the BMW shop the... More

Me and my wife greatly enjoyed our 10-day tour around Costa Rica. The hotels, bikes, and destinations were excellent! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in any of the seven hotels that Costa Rica Motorcycle Tours set up. We rented two BMW F700GSs. These were picked straight from the BMW dealer. Both bikes were of the current model year and... More

Great bike (brand new 2013), great people, and a well organized self guided moto-trip through Costa Rica. For someone who just wants to show up and have all the loose ends taken care of, this is the way to go.
