Best Part of San Jose!

My fiance and I decided on a last minute walking tour of San Jose. Stacey was kind enough to accommodate us last minute! This tour was the highlight of our time in San Jose. We... read more

At first, our guide focused on architecture and history of the city, rather than street art. I think there was a bit of misunderstanding about what we wanted to see. Once we got past that, we were very happy with our experience - saw a lot of street art around downtown San Jose, and heard about life in San Jose... More

My fiance and I decided on a last minute walking tour of San Jose. Stacey was kind enough to accommodate us last minute! This tour was the highlight of our time in San Jose. We learned so so so much about the city. We were only sad to have done this on our last day of the tour and not... More

Our group of three Australians, plus a couple of honeymooners from Texas enjoyed the tour with Carla from Barrio Bird. Carla was knowledgeable and generous with the information she shared. No question went unanswered. A great way to open up the city. Our initial impressions of San Jose, were reversed during the tour. Thank you Carla.

We booked a culinary tour and were supposed to meet our guide in the lobby of a hotel. As the guide did not show up the agreed time we started to wander around the lobby and even outside the entrance in order to make sure we did not miss him/her. We even asked some people if perhaps they are our... More

Our tour guide, Carla, was great. We were in a small group of 3. I traveled by myself, but this couple from London came along. Carla was very passionate about the history of her city which I thoroughly appreciated. If you're looking to get a history lesson + see all of the historical sites in San Jose this is the... More

I liked the tour. Our guide Carla was very friendly, helpful, had good and interesting information and was very flexible when it came to our wishes for the tour. A nice way to get to know that city that on first sight might seem not very interesting.

We opted for the 3 hour combo tour that combined the Bird's Nest and Hungry Bird walks. Carla provided a wonderful San Jose perspective on history, culture and food. The highlight for us was the walk thru the Central Markets with Carla giving us an insider's perspective of the fruits, vegetables and local goods for sale. She even took us... More

As a solo traveler, I booked a walking tour with Barrio on my first full day in San Jose and it was the best decision! Carla was our guide for our very small group of 2! I loved that the company still did a tour with only 2 guests; it was like walking around the city with a friend. Carla... More
