I just arrived home from a wonderful and amazing trip to Costa Rica and I would love to go back there right away, it was just amazing! Thanks to Camino Travel I had a really great experience there and didn't have to worry about anything as Marco planned and organised everything very perfectly in advance. I never even needed his emergency number, as everything went so smoothly. All the drivers for transportation or activites showed up on time (the longest was a 15 minutes wait). I got all the important information and documents for my round trip from the first driver picking me up at the aiport. All the tour guides were very welcoming and knowledgeable. I really learned a lot about this beautiful country and its amazing animals. Marco helped me plan my trip exactely the way I wanted and he was very patiently amending and answering all my requests until it was perfect to me. I was travelling alone and was a little worried prior to my trip that I would be bored all alone. But with all the shared transportations and activities I got to meet a lot of people (locals and tourists), so I never had time to get bored 😉 and I always felt very safe. If I will go back again to Costa Rica I will definitvely book again trough Camino travel. I highly recommand this agency!

We traveled to Costa Rica (La Fortuna & Manuel Antonio) the last week of July and Camino Travel planned our trip and activities. Marco Hernandez was our travel agent, and we couldn't have been happier with his service. He was very professional, friendly and always responded to all of our questions within minutes or hours. He accommodated the trip to our needs and budget, and made sure we were happy with the plan. He assigned Didier as our driver who was also very professional and friendly. This trip was worry- and stress-free thanks to Marco and Didier. All we had to do was show up and were picked up to/from the airport and to/from our hotels for the tours that were planned. Didier showed us different sightings on the road, stopped at shops to buy snacks and souvenirs. I highly recommend Camino Travel to plan your trip in Costa Rica.

We planned an incredible two week trip back in June 2019, and were supposed to go in March/April 2020. But of course.....covid!! Camino Travel (we worked with Marco Hernandez) were great, they held all the plans for us and we rebooked for March/April 2021. The company owner Helena also got involved to make sure we were able to rebook every hotel and activity we planned to do the year before. Overall, the trip itself was outstanding. Marco picked great hotels, suggested great activities. We loved everything! It was an epic trip for us and our kids - lots of animals and nature, zip line, horseback riding, surfing lessons, swimming in waterfalls, jumping off cliffs into waterfalls, beautiful beaches. We volunteered at an animal sanctuary. We stopped by a local school and brought school supplies for the kids. We had dinner with a local family and looked for frogs in their garden. Just tons of incredible memories. Our journey took us to Tortuguero, Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio. Our driver Didier was fantastic too. Marco helped us all those two weeks, even making changes on the go when we needed to, adjusting tour times, changing the plans for our covid tests, whatever we needed.he was available every day, ready to help! On our last night in town, back in San Jose, we actually went out to dinner with Marco and his family....such wonderful people...our kids connected despite the language barrier. We couldn’t recommend Camino and Marco more highly! Just loved it!

I highly recommend Camino Travel for your Costa Rica holiday. Marco worked with us to create a perfect itinerary and was very patient with our changes. He kept to our budget and even upgraded one hotel at no extra cost. Our excursions and transport were all included in the package so there were no hidden extras.
I will certainly be using Camino Travel for my next visit to Costa Rica. I can't wait to return. Pura Vida!

My first visit to Costa Rica has been stupendous thanks to Marco and Helena of Camino Travel. I have travelled to Arenal, visited Cartago, Manuel Antonio and so much more. The Camino team is there to make sure you have the possible best experience, optimal service and local insight into how to get the most out of your stay. Marco put a lot of energy into finding out what I wanted to do and help me plan my itinerary so it was perfect. It was a little tricky as I was travelling solo with my dog but he made it happen. Working with a local travel advisor is worth its weight in gold. Camino Travel worked so closely with me every step along the way and took care of me as one of their own. They certainly go the extra mile. I left behind my toiletry bag and jewelry at Plaza Yara (shout out to this little gem of a hotel) in Manuel Antonio and contacted Marco after this excursion. With his help, and Camino Travel's extended contacts, my things were delivered to my door shortly after! They delivered one of my best travel experiences ever!

Camino Travel organized a tour for us that included transfer from San José to Arenal and to Manuel Antonio. In each place we had tours that were spectacular. The driver, the hotels, all the tips and tricks they gave us throughout the tour were very helpful. An unforgettable experience. Marco really made a difference for us.

Camino Travel did an excellent job of planning our entire trip from picking up at the airport to arranging all of our tours and travel from one place to the next. All of the drivers were at our hotel for pick up on time and were quite engaging during the trip. One of our drivers prepared a special pineapple snack along the way and another stopped for us to take pictures of crocodiles in the river. All of the hotels where we stayed included breakfast.

We started our journey in San Jose and then had a private transfer to Arenal. The Lost Iguana Resort was secluded and in the rainforest. Our tours of the Arenal volcano and Ecological Park Danaus were both wonderful. We also spent half a day at the Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort.

We then headed to Monteverde for a visit to the Monteverde Reserve and to do the Sky Tram and Sky Trek zip lining adventure. All activities occurred on time!

We headed to Manual Antonio next for a beach hopping experience provided by Dante's Water Sports. We enjoyed surf lessons and jumping into the waterfall.

We had an amazing vacation, and all due to Camino Travel!!

I've just returned from an 18 day bespoke trip around Costa Rica, which I arranged directly with Camino Travel for myself, my wife and my 10 year old daughter.

We visited San José, Drake Bay, Corcovado, Manuel Antonio, Monteverde, Arenal, Rincon de la Vieja, and Tamarindo.

Camino helped us design a bespoke itinerary and arranged all our hotels and private shuttle transportation. I have to say they were amazing. They responded to our many email queries promptly and professionally. We were met on arrival at the airport; all hotel reservations were as expected; all shuttles were on time, comfortable, and private as arranged. And they were much cheaper than using a UK-based travel agent who would probably have added lots of commission and used Camino anyway.

I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Doka: Interesting tour with very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The coffee plantation showed us every step of the process, gave us an opportunity to taste and buy coffee and provided a reasonable lunch. The coffee seemed a little more expensive than other plantations but seemed a better quality.
Grecia: quick stop to look at the church, walk around and inside and take photos. Guide provided lots of information.
Sarchi: Interesting to see how the ox carts were (& still are!) made, especially how the tools are powered. Again, very knowledgeable guide and lovely gift shop which was surprisingly big!
