Very cheap prices compared to the airport. Coffee, juice, handycraft everything. And perfect possibility for break with Costarican coffee

Not only do you get organic coffee, fruits and veggies, you also get organic chicken and eggs. Parking is easy ( in Avenida Escazu ) - and you don't have to drive all the way downtown.

A fine experience

Great variety of choices, good food, great atmosphere. I have only had lunch with friend, with family, for business it is a great informal inexpensive place to have a good time and a fine meal.

An experience in culture and delicious food and bargains.

The Mercado is a fun experience even if you can't find that bargain you're looking for. Don't be embarrassed to bargain with the "shop" keepers. Enjoy the cultural experience for what it is and enjoy the music and the food...and coffee.

Went to this market...nice...small...but lots of things to do and see. Good foods...lots of samplings, jewelry, shirts and even free massages and facials...a nice way to spend a morning....

The Mercado was so much fun to browse through. From the outside it looks like only one stand but it is extensive. Basically, as mercados tend to be, the items are overpriced, but some people are willing to bargain and some are not. I bought a wooden cup engraved with a toucan and they are willing to add a name at no extra cost. If you are looking for a light and inexpensive gift, you might buy a bookmark made of banana peel that is designed with various animals. Even if you don't buy anything it's worth seeing.

It started as a nice concept

My most recent visit was very quick. Instead of 50 or so stands which is what they had at the beginning, they had now about 20 and the offer was poor. KM 0 is reaching its end as we speak.

Easy Saturday Morning
Spent a couple of hours at the market. Chilling, listening to soft music, trying different things to eat. Playground in the outskirts to enjoy with the children and a great sun.
Really enjoyed my Saint Valentines morning with those I love.
