awesome day

we had arrived in the evening before our fishing trip after white water rafting and a 5 hr drive. we met the captain and mate the next morning and after we got somewhere around 25 miles out, we started catching Mahi Mahi. then found a large pod of porpoius and we started catching Tuna. I was so tired after the first Tuna, but we kept reeling in. what a fantastic day. lunch on the boat was great. we were eating some of our catch an hour after we caught it. best day fishing. I would like to go back after i am rested and catch more.

Awesome fishing

I love fishing!! Been a board of “Muy Caliente” was an amazing and delightful experience!! The crew was very accommodating and extremely nice!! Jorge and Pepe were just a pleasure to sail with!!
Pepe is a very experienced mate! Funny, helpful, nice, and motivator!! 😅 every time I said “I can’t!!” He motivated me to keep reeling my fish!
We are in Costa Rica for a week and fishing 3 days!
The first day my biggest catch was a 54” 50#’s and the second day was a 53-1/2 inches 60#’’ Mahi-Mahi!
I can’t wait for tomorrow, our last day of fishing in this wonderful country!!!!
If you want to have an awesome fishing experience, don’t go farther than “MUY CALIENTE “!!!!

Fishing great - but not the swimming

Fishing was great. However we had the unfortunate experience when we stopped to go for a swim - we saw feces floating out from the back of boat. Our guess is that someone released the tank as a practical joke. One of the crew members had also jumped in for a swim. When we asked the Captain about it he said it was fish poo but definitely not true. We talked to the owner at the end of the day and she said she would talk to the Captain.

These guys really know how to fish!

Booked an all day deep sea fishing charter with Quepos Fishing and all we have to say is that it was the best activity of our entire vacation in Costa Rica. Captain Chepe was amazing, putting us on to the action early in the morning. We released 10 sailfish and ended up fighting a 300 lb Marlin. I would to also say that the boat is in great condition and these guys made a fresh lunch for us on the boat which was a true treat. I will be back and will book my fishing trip with Quepos Fishing.

Catamaran

We leased a 60 foot Catamaran, it was the most amazing trip! The boat amazing, the Chef amazing, the crew amazing! We caught several fish and had the time of our lives!

Offshore Fishing February 29th, 2016

We had an awesome day of fishing last Monday(2-29-16). We were treated well right away with Alfonso and the communication was great between Mandel and myself. We rented the boat out with just 3 of us and none of us had ever caught a Sailfish before. We had full intentions of hopefully hooking up with a few. It didn't take long. Once we got out to our spot we only started fishing 5 minutes when we got into our first Sailfish. It was an awesome fight reeling one of those in! About an hour later we got another one for my buddy and one for my wife. By the end of the day we had 6 sailfish and we had gotten bit off at least 6-8 times more where could have potentially caught more. But that's fishing. We had a nice lunch and plenty of beers/beverages. Overall it was an experience we all said we will never forget. Thanks Mandel and crew! Jeremy
