About
We own a custom built 42 foot charter boat for up to six passengers. We specialize in Marlin fishing, Sail fishing, tuna, Dorado, and rooster fishing. We have AC, comfortable seating, and a full-sized restroom. We offer family fishing tours and fishing packages for seasoned anglers. Let us tailor a trip for you! We fish all tackle by shimano including tallies reels, tyrnos reels, tiagra reels and tld reels. All rods are either shimano or St. Croix. We fish Lindgren Pittman s-1200 dredge reels and strike point dredges. We specialize in family fishing to tournament fishing. We light tackle bait and switch teaser fish daily for sailfish, blue marlin, black marlin and striped marlin. We provide breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks while on board. We will clean and bag all edible catch for you. For your Quepos fishing adventure look no further than the Double Nickel.

My family and I fished with these guys on two separate days and had a great time. My Dad loved reeling in 4 sailfish and a couple of dorados (not bad for being in his 70’s). My stepmom reeled in a sailfish on her first day. They provided fruit, bottled water, beer and great lunches. My parents appreciated the comfortable cabin with A/C. The crew worked nonstop to get us hooked up on a lot of fish. They helped to make my Husband and Dad’s birthday trip awesome.

We fished for 2 full days on May 8th and May 10th. Captain Roy and the crew worked extremely hard to provide our family with the fishing trip of a lifetime. It has been my husband's dream to take our 2 adult sons to catch a billfish. On Monday they caught a total of TEN sailfish, and even my daughter in law (who has never been fishing or caught a fish in her life), was even able to reel in three of these. On Wednesday my husband went back out with our two sons and they caught TWELVE MORE sailfish. The crew worked extremely hard the entire two days. I can't say enough about our positive experience with Double Nickel Charter, the boat, and this amazing crew. Thank you for a fishing experience of a lifetime.

We fished with Captain Roy on The Double Nickel last week and it was a great experience again. We caught 2 100lb yellow fin tuna.
The crew was excellent. Jerman and Rookie worked non stop, fed us a great hot lunch with more fresh fruit than we could eat and were very helpful when a fish was on.
Roy found the fish and we had a great time.
Will definitely fish again with these guys!

Captain Roy and mates Rookie and Nani went above and beyond. Fishing was outstanding we went 6 for 11 on sailfish and raised 5 more along with 2 blue marlin. Even if the fishing had been slower the guys on the boat were great served snacks and a great lunch. Recommend this charter company 100% if you are making a trip to Quepos.

Three days of offshore fishing . Perfect weather, great boat, tackle and outstanding experienced crew. These guys know what they are doing and were excited as we were. We fish quite a bit in the US and this was a quality experience. We crushed it with lots of tuna, dorado, sailfish and marlin. Couldn't ask for any more. We have booked next year already. Couldn't ask for more

My family came into town from Alaska and we decided to go off shore fishing. What an incredible time had by all! Captain nick and Prescott were very helpful and so professional the entire time. I felt like a real pirate and fisherman and can’t wait to do it again! Perfect Florida excursion.

Our first trip to Quepos, Costa Rica was awesome! We booked a full day trip with Brian and Captain Roy and brother Rookie and deckhand David. The weather was amazing, and the seas were calm. We had drinks, music, snacks and lunch all served by David. We all caught our first Sailfish, and Dorados. It was so peaceful, except when the fish were biting, the cabin had great AC to get out of sun for a while, and we saw at least ten large turtles, with birds' swim by! Just an amazing experience, we recommend it to everyone. These guys are professional fishermen and will get you the fish!

Awesome two days with Capt Roy and Roockie. Released 13 sails and one big blue marlin. These guys are passionate about fishing and a ton of fun to fish with. My family had a great time. We can’t wait to fish with them again next year.

This is our second time fishing with Double Knickle Charters and Capt Nick. I brought my 19yr old son down this time for his 19th birthday to fish 2 days. My son has never ever done anything like this. We left early sat morning to head out with Captain Nick his brother Will and first mate Josh. Boat was immaculate clean and in very good shape. When we arrived breakfast of fruit and jusice was already prepared and waiting for us. We headed offshore for a little bit over an hr extremely comfortable ride. When we got to fishing grounds the boys set everything up got lines in the water and wasnt 10 mins before our first sailfish over 100lbs was on the line. My son took the rod and fought the fiah from start to finish and landed his first big sailfish he was hooked this went on for 2 solid days one after another. Will prepared meals for us through out the day cooking lunch dinner and breakfast food was amazing. After 2 solid days of fishing and sleeping on the boat we caught and landed 23 sailfish tagged 10 of them and had a total of 41 bites. Cant say enough awesome things about this company. We have already booked to go back in October to mahi fish with them. I would highly recommend this company to anyone weather its adults or family with kids or teenagers. They are very accommodating, personal, positive attitudes safe and clean and for sure will put you on fish!! Anyone looking for best experience in sport fishing in Quepos needs to call these guys and go fishing. Hands down the best thing weve ever done. Thanks Captain Nick Will and Josh cant wait to come back.

Two brothers with years of experience and expertise, an amazing boat and fishing crew in the beautiful waters of Costa Rica. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, huge blue marlin, tuna, sailfish and more. Amazing experience!!

Hi everyone, I'm Sergio from Argentina, I will be in Quepos between 3-10th December. I would like to book a Marlin fishing day trip or two nights fishing trip. My children gave me this gift trip so that I can fulfill my dream of capturing a marlin for the first time in my life. But seems very expensive just for one people and it doesn't look like anywhere does shared trips. Just wondering if there is anyone else interested and would like to arrange a group trip so the cost is cheaper? Please let me know. Thanks

Hi everyone, myself and my partner will be in Manual Antonio between 24-27th December. We would like to book a Marlin fishing day trip but it seems very expensive just for two people and it doesn't look like anywhere does shared trips.
