I am a repeat customer for the Tom Cat catamaran cruise. I retired to nearby Playa Bejuco and this is an activity that I provide for all of my visitors. Everything about this operation is top notch, from how clean and well maintained the boat is, to the lunch, to the personnel. The lead host speaks perfect English as well as Spanish and takes care to address the group fully in both languages. He is really informative. The entire crew are friendly, attentive and helpful.
Yesterday's cruise was especially nice weather with calm seas and brilliant blue skies. The cruise along the coast of Manuel Antonio is spectacular and everyone learned about the park and its wildlife. The captain found a momma humpback whale and her baby feeding offshore and we were able to watch from a respectful distance and learn a lot about these creatures.
As I tipped the crew and disembarked back in Quepos, I said I will see you in two weeks with more visitors!

Beautiful

This was an amazing trip! So much fun. The staff was great! Only thing I would have enjoyed more was a better snorkel area. (All of the quepos snorkel tours were going to same 2 small rock spot)
And our tour ended up being all elderly ppl from a bus (Not their fault) but wish we would have known

Excellent catamaran trip

We loved our trip on the catamaran. We had small kids with us so we chose to take the morning tour to avoid the party crowd. It was the best decision. The boat holds over 100 people but there were only 16 on our boat so it felt like a private tour. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience for all. We saw dolphins and lots of beautiful fish. Lunch was also delicious. Highly recommend!

Tourist trap

Don’t take the trip if you expect to see dolphins or any sea-life at all. We were promised a family-friendly snorkel trip. Instead we didn’t go snorkeling due to a bad water visibility (but nobody warned us in advance). They had charged full $80 per person and after a 2-hour boat trip announced that snorkeling wasn’t an option. They had known this long before departure. The music was hard and at 10:00 a.m. fist passengers were drunk already. It turned out to be more of a party boat than a family excursion. The lunch was very nice with a tasteful pasta salad and delicious tuna skewers, accompanied by fresh fruit. The drinks were also nice. So if you love (very) hard Latino music and cocktails in the morning, you will probably entertain yourself.

Mind blowing experience!

The tour we went on today was otherworldly! I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life! The boat, “the Spanish dancer“ was absolutely beautiful. The boat captain, Jeison, made it so enjoyable, and Francisco, our tour guide was filled with an incredible vast knowledge about the ecosystem and the animals that we had seen today! Viewing a humpback whale in real life is very humbling to see. We went, snorkeling, seem beautiful fish in the water, we watch the sunset. It’s really hard to say what was the biggest highlight of the tour! Francisco and Jeison we’re so accommodating and nice, and made us feel so safe! I would recommend this to absolutely any of one of my friends or family! Once, in a lifetime, experience is all I gotta say!

Disappointing

This was quite disappointing. Was very much an over priced tourist trap. When we arrived at the snorkelling location you could see the port where we started the journey from so it’s not much of a boat tour as it says in the description. Nothing to see in the water too. Whilst reading the description I also note they have put scuba-diving yet that service was not offered at all and they didn’t event bring the equipment for it. The food was great with pasta and kebabs, it was the best thing about the trip and the only reason this scraps a 3/5 instead of a 2/5. Overall, I feel very disappointed about the whole experience and left a little gutted I spent 400 dollars for my family of 5 to go on this.

Hola Max! We snorkel and include the full equipment for that. We don't offer scuba...sorry u got that mixed up... Regardless the water visibility & marine wildlife, not every day is great, it all depends on mother nature, that is one of the reason you guys singed a waiver where explains very clear about that all factors only control by mother nature can't be use as a negative review... We wish we had a remote to make dolphins jump or clear water visibility everyday day! Pura Vida!

Perfect in every way

We did the Shared Eco Adventure in the Tom Cat 70 x 40 ft. It was absolutely perfect! The crew was very attentive to all of our needs including those of our three small children (3 and under), they even got bandaids for our daughter when she tripped and scraped her knee. Food was delicious, they accommodated our Pesco-vegan guest, drinks were awesome and they were happy to help us with everything. Can’t recommend enough! We cruised on our last day on the coast and it was a wonderful goodbye to a beautiful part of the country. Sunset was incredible as always and the water was perfect. Book now, don’t wait!

Sunset catamaran tour totally worth the price

We did the sunset tour with about 80 other people and had a great time. Everyone was in a good mood, several people celebrating various things - wedding, honeymoons, anniversaries, meet up with friends - which added to the vibe. The DJ was fun, drinks were flowing, food was ok nothing special but good enough for the activity, and the opportunity to do some dives off the 2nd deck and water slides was great. Totally worth the price of $75/pp.

Great experience

Was an amazing experience. They were professional and a fun group of people. Their on-board photographer was amazing. Just wish we could've gotten those photos. They only accept cash and we were low on cash as this was the last leg of our trip and we didn't carry too much cash in local currency. Other than that the food, the drinks and the whole experience was amazing

Highlight of our Costa Rica trip!

The views from the boat were amazing! Beverages were plentiful and the music was fun. The meal was great. The staff went out of their way to make the experience awesome.
We were also impressed by the communication before and following the tour. I had left a valuable pair of binoculars on board and I was able to pick them up the next morning.
All in all it was an excellent time!
