Choosing Jaguar Tours was a no brainer for us. We were extremely pleased with Ronald and Cristiam’s attentive nature. Here is why we would recommend their service to anyone:
• Ronald, our guide took the time to explain how each animal has its own method to
survive in the jungle.
• His expertise in spotting animals within the dense rainforest was impressive, our
untrained eyes would have missed the majority of the species he pointed out.
• He was also accommodating to one of us having an injured leg.
• Overall, when visiting the jungle you want to feel safe while simultaneously seeing
exotic animals, and our guide did just that!

We did a two-day tour in Corcovado with Ronald. It was a really great experience. We saw a lot of different animals, like tapirs, monkeys, frogs, lizards, birds, ant-eaters and many more. The walks were individual and our guide Ronald customised the tour to our needs and wishes. He was caring, made sure everyone had a good time and was feeling well and made efforts for a birthday present, what I appreciated very much. His caring personality and passion for nature and his job made the trip excellent. I would highly recommend Jaguar Corcovado Tours to everyone who wants to see the nature and wildlife of Costa Rica.

We booked a two days tour around Corcovado. We were welcomed by Cristian who was very friendly and explained us what we were going to do and gave us advice about what to bring and what to expect. Our guide was Ronald, Cristian's brother, and he was amazing! During those two days, Ronald did his best to show us many different species and explained a great deal about the fauna and flora of Corcovado. He was very friendly and also took amazing pictures of the animals we saw which was really nice cause we could take the time to focus on the moment instead on focusing on getting good pictures. You can definitely see he is a nice person who cares a lot about nature and animals. The two days trip was exhausting but definitely worth it! We slept in the ranger station in the middle of the jungle and were woken up by the howler monkeys. We also met squirrel monkeys, spider monkeys, several tapirs, many coatis, two tamanoirs, many bird species such as scarlet macaws, toucans, hawks, falcons and many more, as well as butterflies and lizards. We would definitely recommend going in Corcovado with this agency as they are very professional and have experience.
Thanks a lot Cristian and Ronald for these amazing two days!

This was the highlight of our stay in Osa. Organizing the tour was really easy and it was setup without any hassles.
The advice given about which tour would be the best was really genuine! We did the matapalo waterfall tour. We had our own transportation and the cost was $40 each. Although the road to Matapalo is bumpy our 2x4 was able to do it easily. Along the way we saw some of the most incredible birds and animals imaginable!! Our guide was exceptional and did a great job spotting all the animals and setting up his telescope for us. He takes some of the most amazing pictures through the telescope, so all you need your cellphones and you feel like a national geographic photographer! Quite possibly the most epic tour I have ever been on.

Tour was great! We saw lots of different animals and our kind guide Elias has excellent eyes to see beautiful birds and other hidden animals. The 20 km hike I would recommend only for people who are used to hike, but as I was, it is a beautiful hike with many stops to observe the animals with plenty of time and through his Teleskope. Elias our guide helped us to make beautiful Fotos through the Teleskope. Also stops to enjoy swimming at different points. The tour operators made it possible for me very spontaneously to join a tour. One thing: food is not included in the price (and is 20 d per meal) and I didn't know, but perhaps was forgotten to tell me because organization was very spontaneously...? Meals were good, kind of buffet. So better ask previously all conditions and compare. I resumen: Thank you guys!

My partner already knew that Costa Rican guides are trained professions to teach visitors about animals and plants while also providing a positive journey experience, so we knew we needed a guide for the Corcovado Park in order to spot all the biodiversity. Sure enough we emailed the team and were provided multiple options. We initially were going to take mass transit but since we had a rental already it made more sense to drive with the guide teaching us how to drive through the rough roads and be able to stop at any moment. Our amazing guide was Ronald, he has an amazing passion and depth of knowledge in terms of hearing and spotting all kinds of birds, mammals, reptiles, etc. We had an amazing time learning about so many beautiful creatures, and laughed a ton storytelling with Ronald. I highly recommend this agency, they are family owned and are extremely professional and passionate. Next time we visit we will for sure try out the kayaking tour to learn about sea creatures. Cheers

To experience Costa Rican nature in the most intense, satisfying way, I recommend booking a tour with Jaguar Corcovado Tours. If ours is any indication, you'll see amazing, remote forest and beach locations, as well as a large number of animal species, many of them up close. Our guide Ronald was very professional and respectful towards the nature. Do not miss this.

We cannot recommend Jaguar Corcovado tours enough! Christian and Ronald were so knowledgable and helpful - we booked three day tours with them!
We hiked to La Leona with Ronald and had such a wonderful day! We saw so much wildlife, a wide variety of species, and Ronald explained everything with so much passion and expertise - we absolutely loved every second. He has a crazy ability to spot wildlife, it was really impressive, we would have missed 90% of everything we saw with him. Ronald also took some excellent photos and videos for us using his telescope! I didn’t stop smiling the whole day! La Leona is truly beautiful.
We took the boat to Sirena with another guide, Kerly, who showed us so many different birds and even a tapir! He had a great energy and was incredibly knowledgable about different species and plants. He explained the differences between the different forests and even took us to a tree that we could climb inside because it’s hollow. Kerly went out of his way to show us different species we had asked about. He also took lots of photos and videos for us, which we will treasure. We had an excellent day with Kerly!
We also took a boat on the Golfo Dulce with Jairo to spot dolphins. We were lucky enough to be the only couple on the boat, so it felt even more special to be so up close and personal to a large pod of dolphins! Jairo was a lovely guy and prepared us fruit after we snorkelled. He even helped us find sea turtles which was amazing.
Muchas gracias to Jaguar Corcovado! We will be recommending you to friends and everyone we meet.

We booked our to tour through Cristian 1 month before the tour. He was very kind and explained us every detail and answered every question. It was very easy to book it and we got all the information via email. At the day we arrived to Drake bay we met our tour guide Cristian's brother Ronald who was very nice and kind and explained us about the plan for the tour. Ronald is very professional guide and has a lot of knowledge about the animals. We saw many animals, we even saw whales on the way to Sirena! I 100% recommend the tour with Ronald, it was very special and fun!

Wow!! What an incredible tour company, run by two brothers local to the area, with so much knowledge of the surrounding and the flauta and fauna.
The tour had a good competitive price compared with other places we talked with. Roland the guide is super professional and knowledgable about the creatures and animals, and has a great eye for spotting them - this leads to amazing photos and rare finds of animals :)
Don’t hesitate to go to Corcovado, it’s amazing, and if you can do the long walk from la Leona to la sirena and stay the night.

We fly into San Jose on March 7th early morning. Where would we fly to meet you for the Corvovado park tour/
Where do you recommend we stay for 2 or 3 nights after we finish with your tour?

We are 2 seniors (65 & 69) spending the day at Golfo Dulce while on a Windstar Cruise January 19, 2016 (8 am to 4 pm)
We would like to hire a guide for Parque Nacional Corcovado (Sirena Station??) or similar day hiking experience in the area. Would you know of a guide available to pick us up where the ship is docked and take us for a tour in the area that day? Thanks for a reply. Monica Heseman, Jacksonville, FL USA

Good afternoon Monica
Thanks for contact us, my name is Cristiam from Jaguar Corcovado Tours, and for sure we can find you a good and certified tourist guide !! who can accompany you to the Corcovado one day hike.
But before, let me tell you that there are some things about the tour that you need to know, in fact of schedules, transports, and others.... but I will explain you every detail, so you can plan your visit properly
Tourist guide, entrance tickets, tropical fruits and transport, is all that we include and need for a one day hike in the Corcovado Park, but this last item (the transport) is the most important at the time to set a good itinerary, so here are this options, you can select the ones that apply better to your plans and preferences, by the way...we arrange everything !!
TRANSPORT: There are 3 diferent means of transportation to get to Carate (the entrance to Corcovado)
**The Colectivo: Is the public transpor, is a truck adapted with seats in the back part, that has a schedule, at it departs from Puerto Jimenez daily at 6.00, it "moves" and jump a lot along the route, is the cheapest one ant take around 2 hours from Puerto Jimenez to Carate, and come back from Carate at 4:00 pm (getting to the town around 5.40 pm)
** Private taxi: You can hire one of this at anytime...more faster, private, but expensive, usually takes 1.30 hours from Puerto Jimenez, to Carate (If you are planning to departs from Puerto Jimenez at 8.00 am, one taxy will be needed)
**Plane : Yes !! you can fly from here to Carate in a Cessna 206, only 15 minuts from Puerto Jimenez, to Carate´s airstrip, this too is a private service, and can departs and come back when you want it
