great shop

This is a great spot to get local and beautifully made items and gifts. Well worth the stop to browse, get a cold drink and sit on the porch.

Wonderful little place hosted by a stylish woman, with a wide variety of local goods...nice place just to browse, but you'll find at least something you desire. I bought a mask. Yes, they do cost more than in other places you may find, but they are local. Upon talking with the woman, she brought us around to the side where... More

Good sized store just 2 minutes walk from the airstrip. Perfect place to pick up some Boruca masks or beautiful jewelry before your flight home. Cute dresses and bags too. Nice outdoor seating area to relax, the runway is right in front so impossible to miss your plane!

If you are seeking unique and one-of-a-kind items from Costa Rica and Central America, this is a choice shop with trained staff who are happy to answer questions. Jagua's focus is clearly on artists and local artists, whenever possible. It was impressive to see and learn about the showcased work of many local and indigenous women. We found delicate hand... Walked around Puerto Jimenez when our cruise (Windstar's Star Breeze) anchored off shore in February 2016. Found this shop close to the airport and just a couple of blocks from where we came ashore.... very impressed with the variety of local crafts that were offered. We, along with friends, purchased a few items that we have never seen in any... More

Beautiful, well stocked shop run by a lovely and knowledge woman. The shop is overstuffed with so many wonderful pieces of locally made crafts, jewelry, crafts, masks, carvings, weavings, paintings aa well as a few mass produced items. I found some of the most unique gifts for my friends and family here. I loved this shop, one of the few... More

Wound up buying a lovely balsa mask here, but can assure readers that Jagua's prices are very steep, even compared to similar carvings offered at high end lodges like Copa de Arbol. Unless you're a 1 percenter who is happy to pay a needlessly high asking price, make a reasonable offer (say, 75-80% of labeked price) and you may wind... More

When I travel I look forward to shopping for art, jewelry, crafts that remind me of my travels & the things I loved about the location. I want local, hand made items that reflect the culture of the country. Jagua makes that so easy! The shop carries a wide variety of indigenous arts & crafts such as Boruca Indian Masks... More
