Changing Tide Tours has had over 7,500 guests tour the Golfo Dulce with us...

Changing Tide Tours has had over 7,500 guests tour the Golfo Dulce with us during the past eight years. We are proud of the fact that, in addition to being the longest operating tour boat provider on the OSA, we are also known as the ‘Premium Tour’ on the Gulf. That's because our custom-built tour boats are safe, comfortable and well equipped; and they are always manned by a professional, licensed Captain and English speaking Guide team. Changing Tide Tours finds the dolphins over 90% of the time. Come with us and enjoy a fun, informative, 25+ mile guided tour as the Golfo Dulce (‘Sweet Gulf’) serves up its many “magical” wonders. Whales, Dolphins, Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Sea Turtles, numerous Fish, and Sea Birds—all these have been seen by our guests. Our tour boats are equipped with quiet, eco-friendly four stroke motors, contoured seats and a full-canopy sun top for your comfort and protection. After a short crossing, you will experience the Gulf’s lush, rugged Eastern Shore, up close and personal to "one of the world’s three tropical fjords." Along with your Dolphin Cruise and informative eco- tour, your crew will offer Swimming, Snorkeling and Plane Boarding when and where conditions permit. And when you return to the boat, you can enjoy a fresh water rinse and fresh fruit. Tour is 4-5 hours.

We traveled to Osa with a group of students this past March. Phoebe was a great contact and so easy to work with. We spent the whole day on the Golfo Dulce visiting the sanctuary, snorkeling, eating lunch at a beach side restaurant and enjoying fresh fruit Phoebe provided. Phoebe was also a very knowledgeable tour guide and easily answered... More

To travel with changing tides is like a dream come true. Sailing comfortably on a deep blue ocean at Golfo Dulce surrounded by dolphins everywhere you look! Just remember to wear sunscreen because the sea breeze is so refreshing that is easy to forget about the sun.

We visited Golfito as part of our Panama Canal cruise on the Azamara Journey. Our tour guide Phoebe and her crew met us at the port and we headed out across the Gulf to Saladero resort for lunch. On the way, Phoebe, who is a marine biologist, gave us an overview of the area and much information on the resident... More

This was one of the highlights of our entire trip! The day was just great, from beginning to end. Our family of four loved every minute of it, even my five year old son. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, the weather was perfect, and we saw so many dolphins! The mangroves were cool too, and snorkeling was a... More

We also traveled with Changing Tides from the Azamara Journey, in a smaller boat for 4 guests. Our guide was Diego and our driver Pepe. We traveled to the Osa Rescue Center. After which they provided pineapple and oranges on our way to travel through the mangrove areas. We also saw many dolphins and went snorkeling. The snorkeling wasn't very... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, Darren! The snorkeling wasn't the best that day unfortunately due to the big storm that hit the previous night... at least the dolphins shone through! We hope you had a wonderful rest of your cruise through the Americas, what a beautiful way to see this incredible part of the world :)... More

There were 8 of us off the Azamara Jouney. We were picked up in a very spacious covered boat and traveled across the gulf to the Saladero Eco-lodge. We went on an amazing hike in the rain forest and had a delicious lunch on the water. The second part of our day was spent snorkeling, dolphin searching ( we found... More

My family took a tour recently to see the dolphins and the mangroves. There were four of us and we had our own tour. We were hoping to get two more passengers to lower our cost but that didn't happen. Our cruise offered a similar tour at a higher price. My son found this company on the internet. They were... More

Thank you very much for your detailed review, Symmesgirl! As you mention, the Golfo Dulce is not a zoo and if the animals are there, great, but if they are not there is nothing we can do about it. We know the 'popular spots' but nothing can ever be guaranteed. Fortunately your family did find the dolphins in the end,... More
