We made the 2 days Corcovado Tour from Carate to La Sirena, La Sirena - Los Patos (totalling almost 50 km walk in 2 days). That was hard but also extremely exciting and rewarding. Thanks to our fantastic guide Royer we saw a lot of animals. Royer was very reliable and in addition to his great capacity to spot the tiniest animals he also has been able to make us feel in good and experienced hands. Everithing was great, in Sirena Station we had great food and slept very well. Also Flor which made all the pre-tour organisation also always replied very fast to all our questions and I that said everithing was top organized. I couldn't make a better choice than Ficus Tours.

Our family was delighted with the experience we had traveling to Parque Nacional Corcovado with Ficus Tours. We were two adults and two kids aged 10 and 13 and went on an overnight trip in late December 2022. Our guide Hannia was kind and friendly and very knowledgeable about the local plants and animals as well as the history of the local region. We saw a lot of amazing wild life, learned a lot and all had a good time doing it. We were also enriched by our guide's willingness to share about her culture and ask us about ours. It was also very apparent she has great respect for the land. This was the best guide we had, of many, on our 2.5 week trip to Costa Rica. We were debating about doing the overnight trip in Corcovado, but afterwards we all agreed that we got a lot out of the extra time in the park. We could not have asked for more and would absolutely recommend this tour company.

From our first email to the final drop-off after our tour, Ficus were consistently clear and communicative. Flor was very helpful in our email enquiries as we booked a 3 day tour of Corcovado, staying at La Sirena biological station. Our guide, Milton, was exceptional throughout the three days: he was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, taking us on increasingly long hikes on the first two days before escorting us out of the national park on foot on the last day. He was particularly good at assessing what we would be capable of and would enjoy. His evident passion for the ecology he was teaching us about made our trip very special and we cannot thank him enough for the adventure he created for us.

100% recommend. We did the day tour 140$ per person and it was absolutely worth it. You take the boat to Corcovado and walk around for about 5 hours (not intense) with your guide. We had the pleasure of having Royer as our guide, a very knowledgeable and friendly man who answered all of our questions. He clearly knows the national park well and all of its animals. We got to see tons of different birds and monkeys, bats, tapir, anteater, crocodile,… almost everything there is to see. Thank you Royer! Because of the low season there weren’t big groups of people and we got lucky and had a private tour.

Our guide, Jhon, plus the luck of the day, enabled us to see so much wildlife in Corcovado National Park. Booking the trip was easy, and the boatrides were without incident.
Jhon was fun, knowledgeable, conscientious, and enthusiastic about finding and sharing wildlife even though he does it all the time!
He took many pictures on our cameras through his scope.
Jhon has great social skills and was totally respectful of this 60-something lesbian couple.
We spent two nights in Corcovado so got to see much more wildlife.
Our only quibble is that Ficus tours did not make it clear how we were supposed to pay, which meant a trip to the cash machine with Jhon at the end of the trip.

My recent trip with Ficus Tours to Secretos de Osa was an extraordinary adventure into the heart of pristine nature, distinctively away from the usual tourist paths. Dani, an exceptional guide, was instrumental in making this experience both enriching and enjoyable.
The journey began with a straightforward 45-minute drive from Puerto Jimenez, leading to an invigorating trek through the depths of the forest (secondary and primary forests) to reach our destination, Secretos de Osa. This unique retreat offered an opportunity to experience life in its simplest form, deeply intertwined with the rhythms of nature. Here, the absence of urban distractions like electricity allowed a genuine and profound connection with the natural world.
The hospitality at Secretos de Osa was heartwarming. Despite not being in the best health, the care and attention provided by the hosts made my stay both comfortable and recuperative. The meals were generously prepared, and the conversations with fellow guests and hosts were both engaging and insightful.
Our excursions, guided expertly by Dani, were a highlight of the trip. The day and night explorations revealed the rich biodiversity of the area, with sightings of various monkeys, a plethora of birds, and an intriguing variety of snakes. Each encounter was a delightful surprise and a reminder of the forest's vibrant ecosystem.
The pinnacle of this nature retreat was our final day's hike to Sendero La Ceiba Gigante. This challenging yet immensely rewarding journey through the forest was a profound experience, leading us to an ancient and colossal Ceiba tree. This magnificent natural wonder, likely centuries old, stood as a symbol of the forest's enduring beauty and strength.
For those looking to immerse themselves in nature and escape the hustle of modern life, Secretos de Osa is a perfect choice. It's more than just a destination; it's an invitation to explore and connect with the wild in its purest form. I highly recommend Ficus Tours for anyone seeking a truly memorable and authentic natural escape.

The best tour company in the area. Rolando was our guide and he was totally dedicated to making our trip the best. We used ficus for a night tour of three hours and saw a ton of animals including a fluer de lance viper. The next morning we met rolando for our three days in Corcovado. I will never forget this trip. The respect the other guides had for Rolando was incredible. You could tell he had earned it. He spotted more animals than any other guide and his ability to use his spotting scope with our camera phone made getting great pictures a breeze. He is an artist

We had a fantastic two-day experience in Corcovado. Our guide, Rolando, was the best guide we had in Costa Rica by far! He was very professional, very knowledgable, and well equipped with a fantastic telescope which enabled us to take incredible high definition photos of the fauna and flora. He did everything within his means to make our experience the best possible! We organised the tour with Ficus Tours through Flor and her attentiveness and organisation was impeccable!

Wow! This was the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed the tour very much. Oscar was our guide, he was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.
We don’t know how he was able to see the dozens of animals and birds he found. We never would have seen a thing without him.
His encyclopedic knowledge of the flora and fauna in the area was mind-blowing.
When you see the statistics come to life of the biodiversity of the area it is life-changing. Our photos are beautiful and some we took through the scope he brought, gave us a very up-close view. Better than binoculars.
We stayed at the Airbnb that Flor and Royer rent out. It was fun and they helped us with any questions and made it all so easy. They are wonderful people!

We had an excellent experience when booking with Ficus Tour our 2-Day Tour to Corcovado! The gave us very good recommendations about which tours could be possible to do for us and finally we decided to took the chances with this one night stay a La Sirena Ranger Station. Everything went as planned and exceeded our expectations! We took the boat to the station early in the morning from Puerto Jimenez, did several trails around La Sirena Station at our arrival seeing plenty of animals, had great lunch and diner and the dtation and hiked out the following day with our to-go breakfast. The experience was just amazing, overwhelming and much more than we thought it would be. Our guide, Rolando was wonderful, knew all bout the animals, their sounds, smells, etc. and made the impossible happen with and without his telescope for us to see so many of them, above all a very sweet and wonderful person. Thanks to Ficus Tour and Rolando for this wonderful experience! Luciana&Eric

Hi Joachim,
We are thinking of doing this same tour with Ficus--3 day and 2 night from Drake.
Can you tell me what staying at Sirena Station is like? Is it a wilderness experience? Or is it a noisy big campground full of people and crowded trails?
Want to experience Corcovado wildlife and wilderness but not feel like I'm on a boyscout trip with 50 campers.
Trying to figure out if we want to go for a 1-2 night overnight there via Drake or if hiking around and staying in Los Brazos tent camp would be more of nature experience.
Your experience is appreciated!
