I spent 5 beautiful days at hotel Los Mangos doing Yoga with Dagmar. Sunday night her partner was playing the Hang a beautiful instrument that brought magic to the practice. Ocean sound , geckos , howling monkeys , perfect ( and huge ) breakfast , cute little bungalow under the mango trees made this experience unique. I had incredible massages from Evelyn , you have to have one ! I am not a massage person but went to heaven . Montezuma is a small relaxed little town and some travellers just decide to live there. I would have stayed much much longer too ! Thank you again for all this beauty !

I really enjoyed my yoga retreat over Christmas In Montezuma. Both , Dagmar and Eva were wonderful teachers and complemented each other. They were kind and welcoming and made you feel home. The yoga location had a gorgeous view and you are experiencing a pleasant ocean breeze and hearing the ocean waves.
The high Point was the Ayurveda massage which I took on consecutive days- Worth it - Evelin was excellent .
The town of Montezuma was an ideal laid back place for me as I was looking to get away from the crowds- YOU can walk to the wonderful beaches to experience the sunrise and there is still some activity in town during the day / night to indulge in ( several great restaurants, some cafes).
Thanks Dagmar.

When you’re in paradise I find that any old yoga class will usually do...But the quality of yoga at the center is extremely high! There is a wonderful opportunity here to grow in your practice from highly experienced instructors. Thank you Montezuma Yoga!

I did the Surf and Yoga package. Montezuma Yoga is a great way to take advantage of several activities in Montezuma. I would give the Yoga, included breakfast and surfing 5 stars.

Only downside to the yoga was that one of the sessions was canceled and I could only make up the session if I did 2 sessions the following day on top of my surf lesson.

Breakfast included (provided by the hotel down the street) was really good and I would've eaten there even it wasn't included.

Hotel I give 4 stars. I had opted for the private bungalow. Bedroom was really nice, bathroom has not been renovated in awhile. The shower faucet leaked the entire time I was there and there were a lot of ants since some of the openings to the outdoors aren't well sealed. Also, signs in the rooms say that the front desk is open till 11 PM but they had to "stay late" when I picked up my keys at 10:40 PM one night. I was told the front deck closed at 10 PM even though the posted signs in every room indicate otherwise.

I would come back given the overall experience and the benefit of having so many Montezuma activities coordinated by one vendor in advance which made the minute trip very convenient and allowed me to make the most of my time.

I came alone on a yoga package with Montezuma after corresponding with Dagmar and the experience exceeded my expectations and I now highly recommend it to anyone. It was by far one of my best yoga experiences as besides meeting all the needs from experienced yoga teachers as far as Assanas, Dagmar and Eva are true yogis by spirit and their classes and wisdom are on what made their daily classes so memorable. I will be certain to come back and the cherry on top is that you get to do yoga in beautiful surroundings in open sir in one of the blue zones of the World (where many centennials live) overlooking the beautiful Ocean. I miss it already and can’t wait to come back soon!

Montezuma yoga is a yoga experience like no other. Weather you attend a class, a retreat or an event you will leave feeling deeply nourished and more connected to yourself and the Montezuma community. I am so grateful that I get to practice with someone as experienced, knowledgeable and truly heart centered as Dagmar.

Not only does her practice resonate so deeply in my heart but she is a pillar of community and kindness. Retreats are unique experiences from someone who is deeply connected to Montezuma and will bring you places you can only dream of. Practice is nourishing for mind, body and soul. If you see any event that involves food YOU MUST GO. Dagmar seems to know every amazing chef in the area!

Thank you Dagmar. I am grateful for you!

I spent a week on the yoga and wellness retreat hosted by Dagmar at Montezuma Yoga. It surpassed all my hopes. The property was beautiful, the shala was so welcoming. We spent the week practicing yoga with Eva, who is a gem of a teacher and guide, and exploring the town. Would love to come back!

We didn't know quite what we were getting into but Montezuma Yoga was a perfect pick for a first-time retreat. The classes were not too strenuous and not too wimpy, with plenty of time in between for hiking, walking the beach, reading or snoozing in the hammock. Dagmar, Eva and Maija are a great team -- warm and welcoming. Even Sylvester, the studio cat, helped make the trip memorable. Nice job!

During a 4 day stint in Montezuma, I was lucky enough to find the time to take an evening YIN class. I have a regular yoga practice in Canada and was unsure what to expect in Costa Rica. It was such a lovely, relaxing class. The setting is to die for and listening to the waves was wonderful. I'm now entertaining the possibility of coming for a longer retreat after seeing the group having breakfast at Hotel Amor de Mar (where we were staying). Hope to be back!

My friend and I were in Montezuma for a couple of days, and I'm so glad that she wanted to take a yoga class because it led us to Montezuma Yoga and we had a beautiful experience. We dropped in to one of the morning vinyasa classes, and it was the best vinyasa class I've ever taken! Dagmar is an amazing instructor, and doing yoga while overlooking the sparkling ocean added so much beauty to the experience. I wish we had stayed in Montezuma longer so that we could have taken more classes, but I'm sure we'll be back :-)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
