This was one of my favorite days in Montezuma.

I loved the whole thing. Hiking to get to the swimming hole, hiking a little more a bit more advanced to get to the water fall to jump in and the whole hike back down.

We rode atv's from Mal Pais to Montezuma. You can park on the street area for free, or $2 in the lot. It was a rocky 15min trail to the falls, so you may want to wear shoes vs. flip flops. When we got to the falls lots of people swimming and jumping, or just sitting around lounging on the... More

Great hike to the waterfall. Wear water shoes or keen sandals. We managed with flip flops but it is not advisable. Take a dip in the pool when you arrive at the falls. It's a thrill to clamber up the rock and jump off into the pool beneath the falls.

Visited as part of a zip lining tour with Sun Excursions. LOTS of hiking uphill/ downhill- not for the weary! The Falls were relatively uncrowded and had a nice pool for swimming. Many from our group jumped from the rocks. We climbed around and looked at other small pools and Falls areas. Your experience will depend on your basis of... More

Went to Montezuma waterfalls and had a great day with our teenage family. We hired 2 ATV's rather than go on a planned, guided tour as these tend to rush you through. Arrived there and after paying and getting a wristband there is a good walk through a forest/jungle type areato reach the waterfalls; this is good as it allows... More

We enjoyed our walk up the hill (approx 15 - 20 minutes) where we also saw some monkeys. The fall it self is not that tall (approx 15 meters) bit it is nive. Unfortunately there was a small group of young people playing loud music. Hence, we could not really enjoy the silence of the place or the relaxing sounds... More

Only a short hike (1.5 hours) to these waterfalls. You have to walk over a very small suspension bridge which adds to the experience. Everything along the way is nice to look at, soaking in Tasmania's natural beauty. The walk is entirely flat so it's really not challenging. Highly recommend coming here.

Montezuma Falls was amazing and felt immersed in the Costa Rican culture. We also walked through the streets of montezuma and shopped! It was a good excursion to do on your own even. We hired our own driver to take us there!

Not a difficult trek in the dry season. Took less than an hour from the entrance to the first level falls and pool. Safe swimming and quiet when we got there at 10.30 - trail to the second level is on the left as you walk upstream - guide isn't necessary. Quite large groups started to arrive later on the... More
