Once we got to the waterfall, we were very, very happy. However for future travellers: I recommend using the SunTrails official trails as opposed to winging it. The free trails are confusing and unmarked, it was rather by luck that we made it at all as opposed to ending up somewhere else by accident. Well worth the visit!

It was nice but not extraordinary. A couple of things to keep in mind: - The trail is NOT obvious. If you can go with an experienced guide, is definitely worth it. - You WILL get wet just by walking up to the first waterfall. Wear confortable shoes that hopefully aren't slippery (very high risk of slipping on wet rocks).... More

Thetrail is relatively easy to walk, but NOT with flip flops. Bare foot or shoes is better. The way to the falls is nice. When we arrived there, we took a swim in the pond. Even if the water is brown it was beautyfull and refreshing.

My friend took the long hike with his family a few days prior and needed a break this time so he suggested the shorter way which is a quicker walk and you can still jump off and climb to the higher falls. It is the wet season so the water is brown from all of the rain so I wasn't... More

Relatively easy hike to bottom of first waterfall; challenging climb/hike to top of the waterfall. We met others at the top who had taken ATVs and drove there on the road. Easy and safe to do the 10 foot jump. Rocks are painted white so that jumpers know where to safely jump from. Tarzan swing into same pool of water.... More

We rode horses there which was a nice way to travel to get there. Cooled off in water and then rode back.

We set off early in the morning (7am) to try and avoid the mid day heat. Although this meant we had to find the route ourself, having no one to follow. We found our way fine to the first waterfall which was magnificent! We then bumped into another couple who couldn't find a way to the 2nd waterfall. They had... More

Same review as the canopy tour as I believe it is the same attraction. Just tried to ad some photos to the equation. Great afternoon

Absolutely beautiful waterfall that is the nicest to swim in out of any waterfalls in Costa Rica. The waterfalls are situated just a short walk out of town and do not require a taxi to reach. I would recommend bringing water shoes or water sandals as the walk to the waterfalls goes through a creek and can be quite difficult... More

We arrived around 11:00 and parked our ATV at the waterfall parking wwhich suprisingly costs almost $2. Coming with sandals we soon realized that closed shoes would have been more convenient for the walk to the fall. The walk itself is not too long (15min.) or hard and mostly shady. The fall itself has a nice refreshing deep pool and... More
