Cool experience!

It was nice to visit the cloud rainforest. Seeing the wildlife was great! A good guide very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. Great for the family too.

The whole flashlight-looking-for-nightlife-activity is overall fun and enjoyable but... - all depends on the quality and passion of the guide. Ours wasn't the greatest - you certainly spot things (tarantula, snake, sleeping birds, ...) but all groups need to ZigZag to a few locations where the guides know the animals are - overall relatively small domain - feels a bit... It was nice to be able to spend time at night in the cloud forest, but our guide was not that great. He hardly talked. I was hoping to gain a lot more information about the area and wildlife, but it was just a tour where we walked slowly and shined our flashlights in the trees along the path. We... More

Any night tour in Costa Rica is a must and this one was definitely fun! There were many native animals to be spotted throughout the tour. Among the animals we saw on this walk were: a variety of monkey species, frogs, spiders, scorpions, lizards, moths, and even a few snakes! Excellent tour!!

If you have ever wondered what birds look like when they sleep this is definitely the tour for you! We went to the later tour which I recommend because the guide knew where a lot of stuff was from the earlier tour. We saw multiple toucans and other birds, a tarantula, a sloth, a giant stick bug, and so much... More

Our guide, Wakeen, was amazing. He was really dedicated and passionate about finding animals for us. You could see he loved his job. In addition, he made a huge effort to make sure everyone in the group saw the animals. We saw sloths, sleeping birds, tarantulas, armadillos, and even the endangered Kinkajou! He was extremely knowledgeable and told us a... More

Good fun to wall round with torches. Saw a sloth, agouti, frogs and birds. The hollow tree was fabulous. Have no idea how the guide found half the things in the forest. Brilliant evening excursion.

We had a great guide very passionate about the area which always makes it more interesting. We saw an Emerald Toucanett asleep in a tree, on our own we would never have spotted it. We saw a little frog on a leaf, the tiniest lizard on another leaf and a green viper curled around a sapling just off the ground.... More

We absolutely loved the night walk in Monteverde. We had an excellent guide who spotted an array of wildlife, flora and fauna. We saw fireflies in flight, numerous sleeping birds with their beaks tucked under their wings including hummingbirds and jacana, numerous insects including grasshoppers, damson flies, beetles, spiders and stick insects, a variety of small frogs, caterpillars, a snake,... We stumbled upon this night walk by driving by and seeing a group of people getting ready to depart. Turns out two people didn't show, so we were able to join. There were four other groups that night and we occasionally crossed paths with them, but that was fine. The ground is muddy and slick in spots (just wear proper... More
