We crossed paths with Andres on a hike at Curi-Cancha with another guide and ran into him at a local cafe a few later. We talked for a while about our experience and asked Andres to guide us at the Children’s Eternal Rain Forest Reserve the next day. Andres was great to hang out with. He’s very personable and entertaining but he’s also very passionate about the natural beauty of Costa Rica and eager to share his knowledge and passion with others. He was up front with us as far as expectations for what wildlife we might encounter given the time of day and conditions. We really appreciated that. We had a great time with Andres and highly recommend him. He continued answering questions via WhatsApp long after we left Monteverde. And he does a great Howler Monkey imitation!

We met Andres on another trail after a day of disappointing birding. He offered his services and we took him up on it. We met early in the morning the next day and we saw SO MANY DIFFERENT BIRDS -- even in just the first 30 minutes. He had excellent knowledge and just knew where stuff was. We had a wonderful day birding and I highly recommend his tours.

We visited Monteverde this month. We hired Andres as our guide for a tour in Monteverde biological reserve, and spent an amazing time watching birds and animals. There were not a lot of them however, but we actually didn't expect to see every living creature possible just because it's not a zoo. It was very exciting though to find some interesting creatures. Andres is very knowledgeable about Monteverde nature, he told us many amazing stories about animals and insects living in that biological reserve. We talked not only about nature but about life in Costa Rica, and we learned a lot about Costa Rican lifestyle, its values and customs. It was a pleasure to have Andres as our guide. What a bright and intelligent young man! We would recommend anybody to hire him. He also does a night walk, which was an amazing experience as well.
