About Rainmaker Park Tour
Rainmaker is one of the most important and impressive rainforest ecosystems in Costa Rica. The park has a very old growth forest which we consider as a primary ecosystem. During the nature walk along the trails in the park you'll have the chance of enjoying from the many waterfalls and ocean views from the top of the virgin forest. The fauna in the park is diverse; such as birds and reptiles.

We did the self guided hike early morning in April, we also were the only ones in the park that morning, at this time it wasn’t too hot and we had plenty of shade. The views were amazing, the hanging bridges exciting, and the waterfall...More

The Rainmaker Private Reserve is not where you will find the typical monkeys and sloths, rather it is a place to hike through a quiet, beautiful eco system and learn about the trees and smaller creatures such as frogs, lizards, and we even saw a...More

We did a self guided walk early one morning in March. Quite a bumpy road to get to the park. We got there just after it opened and were the only ones there. Walk is quite strenuous in places. There are a couple of hanging...More

I thought this night tour was in Manuel Antonio for some reason but we did the tour through Jade Tours and it is at this private park. It is a ride to the place and 20 min. On a bumpy road to a private property....More

If you're feeling brave enough, I would definitely recommend the Rainmaker Night Tour. I was initially concerned that there might be a lot of mosquitoes/biting insects but needn't have worried. As our guide told us, the bats and birds do a pretty good job of...More

I definitely recommend doing a night tour! You see and hear a completely different side of Costa RIca. It is extremely humid but surprisingly there are not many mosquitos. They served us a traditional Costa Rican meal at the end that was very good.

We loved the hike on a self-guided tour. We did the most strenuous route with the hanging bridges and got a good workout on the uphill climbs. Gorgeous views and a little bit of adrenaline on the bridges. Then the low river route on the...More

We were very happy with the tour we took through Jade tours at Rainmaker. Jeremy was our guide and we enjoyed our time with him. He let us go at our own speed and was very knowledgeable about the plants and wildlife we saw. The...More

The only reason I am not giving a 5 star rating is because of the price. $80 for what we saw and did was a little high in my opinion, compared to other activities we enjoyed in surrounding areas. Since Manuel Antonio is such a...More

Hola Meredy, There are no hotels nearby the Rainmaker Park. I suggest you to stay in Quepos or Manuel Antonio. Both places are located approx 40 minutes away. Kind regards!!

There is not. I wore my bathing suit and a pair of Nike capri compression pants. It was super hot the day we went but I stayed comfortable with all the shade from the trees.
