Loved this wonderful beach - warm water set among coconut trees. Saw racoons, a deer, a green snake eating a lizard, agooti, squirrel monkeys and alot of capuchin monkeys. We stayed for 4 hours having a picnic lunch. Cheeky monkey stole a bag of food, despite having it covered. Highly recommend. Wear comfortable shoes as it is a slow 30... More

The water, waves, people, tiny sea crabs on the rocks and of course the sunsets are all fantastic. I highly recommend surf lessons or rentals from Barrabas Surf. Skilled and relaxed instructors.

We spent a few hours here while touring Manuel Antonio park. The water felt very refreshing as the park is quite hot and crowded. Beware that the monkeys and raccoons will raid your bags in search of good while you are swimming! Definitely worth the visit!

The main beach is great for sun bathing but no good for swimming or snorkelling. Great for surfing and many parasailing places. Not too crowded either. Best beach was in the park itself - well worth paying to go in the park to walk here. Careful to keep your things safe as monkeys and raccoons are very brave and will... More

The beach has a stunning view. However because it is popular, it is busy. Lots of monkeys and coatis trying to steal your food. so be careful not to leave valuables. After we got there, we found that the beach was a bit rocky so we crossed to the other side to playa espadilla sur and we enjoyed it more.

In April no crows - beautiful beach! Be aware of the monkeys and secure your bag when going into the water.

If you're going to Costa Rica you have to make tgis beach one of the stops. The sand is super soft and there are endless activities right on the beach. Parasailing, jet skis, surf lessons and surf board rentals, snorkeling. My boyfriend and I changed our plans last minute and went to this beach, we loved it so much that... More

The water is calm and nice for swimming. You need to take your own water ,beverages and food. The mile walk from the park entrance to the beach is scenic and great for seeing sloths, monkeys, and lizards.

This beach may well be a 5 star for someone that hasn't visited many beaches before- However, I've been to SO many beach spots in different countries that this one didn't seem like a 5 star, in my opinion. It is a very wide open space, with the highlight being the surroundings of the beach itself: the distant mountains, the... More
