I loved loved loved this tour! The waterfalls and rainforest were beautiful and the ride fun. Our guide, Jesse, was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I enjoyed it so much, I booked a Jeep tour for my parents. Although Jesse does horse tours, he personally picked...More

Yes it's good for everyone. Several people in our group had never even rode a horse before. It was a great excursion and well worth it!!

Horseback Riding - Rancho Típico don Juan or Brisas del Nara (2 Replies)
We are going to Manuel Antonio 2/10-2/17. We are a group ranging in age from 4 to 75 (with 5 kids ages 4-8). We will be ziplining, kayaking, canyoning, etc. I was thinking about a horseback riding tour and have seen great recommendations for both Rancho Típico don Juan and Brisas del Nara. Anyone have more information on either tour? Would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

trip report with grandsons (3 Replies)
We have just returned from our trip with grandsons ages 9 and 12 and were pleasantly surprised with MA. The area was not as crowded as we expected. One day we entered the park at 7 am and hiked most of the trails, seeing some interesting wildlife and a troop of howler monkeys. We finished our hike at beautiful Manuel Antonio beach where we swam for hours and tried to fend off iguanas, racoons, and White faced monkeys who wanted our peanut butter sandwiches.Every evening we walked to the...More

4 night June visit with grandsons (12 Replies)
We will stay at La Posada jungle hotel, MA, for four nights after 3 nights at Hacienda Baru near Dominical. Our grandsons ages 9 and 12 are eager to do some adventure activities. We are looking at Brisas del Nara half day tour horseback riding and either a zip line tour or jet ski tour. We all like hiking and nature so will spend a full day in the park and beaches and hope to walk down to the public beach each day. It is hard though to decide what two or three tours we should do. I'm...More

We did do the jet ski tour a couple of years ago and it was a blast. Really had a good time. It all depends on if you like that sort of thing. What I really enjoyed was viewing the scenery from the water. Gives it a different view point. Bring a waterproof camera and have fun!
