I am Alejandro, born and raised on Manuel Antonio Beach. I am a surf instructor since 20 years and love to provide you the best experience possible of Manuel Antonio and surroundings. I have lots of experience teaching young kids, but also make the older ones surf on the FIRST wave of the lesson. Ask me for places, restaurants and any other recomendations and I will make sure you get the best local experience possible.

$50 per head got us an hour in great waves with good instructors, pineapple and water on return, and deck chairs and boards for the rest of the day. Other places on the beach are renting boards alone for $20-25 and that’s before paying for deck chairs, so $50 for all that and instruction means that really this was great value for money for a day on the beach.
By the end of the session I had improved my pop up onto the board and better understood wave selection and timing. Leaving a better surfer than when I arrived.

This was THE BEST thing that we did in Costa Rica. Instructors are absolutely amazing with kids and adults alike -- incredibly talented, positive teachers. Don't worry if you have no experience or are a complete klutz (like me), they will teach you to get up and surf in a single lesson. They are also incredibly accommodating for observers in the group. They set up chairs and a canopy and make sure that you have a cold beer and fresh fruit. I don't write reviews very often but I would give them ten stars if I could.

Let’s just say that I’m beyond the age when most people take up this sort of thing, but in 2 one-hour lessons, Alejandro and his team helped me get to the point that I can now surf on my own!
Alejandro is very personable, and allows students to use the board on their own for more practice after the lesson. Overall, these folks love what they do, and it shows. There is a fabulous, infectious, energy among the team that takes the experience to a higher level.
If I’m in the area again, I hope to do one of their kayak tours.

First surf hours for our sons (6 and 9 years old). Perfect waves, unforgettable experience and so much fun with Alejandro and his team.

From the first contact, Alejandro was very responsive and helpful. He verified our time of arrival and was there to greet us at a parking spot he had reserved for us. The surf instructors were awesome! All 6 of us, including the kids, were able to stand up within only a few attempts. They served us fresh pineapple and they helped us track down some local food for lunch. Wonderful experience- highly recommended!

Fantastic time with Alejandro and his team (Oscar, Filippo, William, Sebastian). All day we had surf boards and body boards, great food, drink and all the lessons you could want. What a wonderful fun group to be around. They took care of everything parking, tents and chairs and even lunch! We are going back again it was so much fun. If you want a Pura Vida surf experience look no farther! Thank you Alejandro!

A wonderful experience. My family of four included some non-swimmers so having our own individual instructors made everyone feel safe and sped up the learning curve. All of the coaches were so nice and pleasant. They provided extra benefits that weren't expected which was a nice touch. The location was convenient and beautiful. Thank you so much.

Alejandro is the man! Passionate about surfing, life and the pursuit of happiness. 2 adults And 2 kids in our group - a few great tips and we were ALL shredding in no time. A lesson rolled into an unforgettable Costa Rican all day experience. Find him and book it! Pura f’n vida baby!!!!!!
