Our Airbnb host recommended Roy Morales as our guide for the Manuel Antonio National Park. He arranged to pick us up at our rental house and took us to the park. He organized our tickets and off we went! It was a fantastic morning, even in the rain. We cited monkeys, sloths, butterflies, lizards, birds, bugs, raccoons, and many more animals. We would have missed much without the aid of Roy and his spotting scope. He knew the park and the animals inside. He was a wealth of information on everything we saw. His rate was super reasonable and we highly recommend his services if you want a guided tour that is certified and knows his stuff.

There was a slight miscommunication on the date and time of our tour at the beginning, however, Johan quickly made it right and we enjoyed a fabulous tour in Carara National Park and the Tarcoles River. Johan was extremely knowledgeable and a fabulous guide. We quickly realized we would never have seen most of the birds and animals we enjoyed watching that day if it wasn't for Johan. His passion is clear and made for an extremely enjoyable day.

My husband and I with another couple went to Manuel Antonio National Park and had Roy Orozco as our guide. I can't say enough about what an amazing, knowledgeable, informative, and just a great guy he was!! We would have never seen or experienced the things we did if we had done this on our own. He has been doing this for years and it shows and he has a real love for his surroundings. I would highly recommend him as a guide! Our day with him was a really memorable one!!! Thanks Roy!!!

Our group had a fantastic nature walk with Roy Orozco in Manuel Antonio National Park. Roy is an incredible naturalist; we all learned a lot about the fauna of the park - monkeys, deer, toads, lizards, two species of snakes, but most importantly, birds! You won't find a better birding guide. He is excellent at identifying birds by sight and call. He also has an awesome (swarovski) scope and even got a digiscoped picture of a purple-crowned fairy for me on my iPhone.

Birding Pals and our guide Tavi made this quick dip into Costa Rica's wild bird treasures an unqualified success by every measure: Quality of Guide Services, comfort of transportation, excellence in lodging and meals, numbers of species seen, and the amazingly low cost for all this wonderment. Cheers to Roy Orozco, representative of Birling Pals in Costa Rica, and to Tavi, our most excellent guide!
