We travelled last year to Costa Rica on a bespoke holiday (arranged by Original Travel facilitated by the excellent Victor Sanchez at Costa Rica Trails). During our holiday, we used the services of Tucanes Tours for a number of long journeys between relatively far-flung destinations and we found the service to be excellent on all occasions. Our first trip was from Arenal to Manuel Antonio, not far from the Panamian border. A really long trip made extremely enjoyable by our super driver, Paolo. His knowledge of local flora and fauna really enlivened the journey and he also knows all the good places to stop for coffee and snacks! Our short stop at Crocodile Bridge on this leg of our travels was really memorable! We then made various trips from Manuel Antonio to Golfito and back, from Manuel Antonio to the Andaz resort at the Papagayo peninsula and finally from there to the airport. The vehicles were all clean and very comfortable, almost all had good wifi and the drivers, especially Pedro and Esteban, were hugely knowledgeable about their country and the things we saw en route. All of them also have an uncanny ability to spot sloths hiding in trees! We would absolutely recommend Tucanes to anyone needing such services in Costa Rica. The Towler Family, London.

We had so much fun on our trip. We were on our honeymoon and were looking to get out and go on a bit of adventure and this trip definitely scratched that itch. The kayaking was the perfect challenge level for us, just enough to break a sweat and get a light workout in but not too strenuous. The views from the ocean were stunning, and gave a really unique perspective not viewable from the beach alone. Our guide, Ceasar (aka Aquaman) was super friendly and made the trip that much more fun. He was very knowledgeable and had a contagious enthusiasm. We also really liked our driver nicknamed 'Plastico'. After spending alot of the time eating at the hotel, the home-cooked meal we had was a great change of pace for us. Overall would really recommend.

We used Tucanes Tours for a guided tour of the park because we wanted to see sloths, and the guide showed us MANY. We would’ve never spotted them without his keen eye. He also showed us many small animals (lizards, bugs, etc) that my kids really enjoyed (and we certainly wouldn’t have seen them on our own). We also saw monkeys, toucans, and other birds that were noisy and visible enough for anyone to see, but it was nice to look at them and get pictures through his scope. I liked that they picked us up at the hotel, got the park tickets for us (so we didn’t have to stand in line for them), and rushed us quickly through the craziness that was around the entrance to the park. I would certainly use them again!

Went on the the tour along with my husband, mother, grandmother, and brother and we had a blast. Our guide was wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem, as well as a great spotter for wildlife. We saw exotic bugs, a basilisk, iguanas, so many sloths, monkeys, bats, a racoon, and many plants and flowers. The park is a must see and having an expert guide to spot the animals makes all the difference.

Was a little apprehensive about this activity, being in our middle ages, but the guys made it a fun experience. The water levels were not high so it was a good introduction to rafting. A fun day, great guides, lunch, fresh air. Definitely a must-do experience of you are here
