I convinced my adult sons and other family members to do this great adventure for the day and they couldn’t be happier. We started with an ATV ride which was exciting, dirty and a blast. After the ATV we were driven into the forest for a quick hike to the water fall which we then rappelled down into a pool. So exhilarating! Then we did Zip lining on 7 amazing lines. The last one was 500 m long and spectacular!!!! Then we were treated to a filling delicious lunch. Then we mounted our horses and took a beautiful ride through the forest back to where we started. The staff was so safety conscious and we felt in good hands the entire time. The staff wore their masks the entire time and never complained. They were very informative and hilarious too.

If you want a great one day adventure than this should be first on your list. I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much for the adventure.

Totally enjoyed the rappelling but the whole experience was awesome as the guides made sure not only did we have a great time but also that we were safe at all times.
Next time in Jaco will go back for the higher waterfall for more rappelling!

My group of friends and I booked this while we were at the ranch for a music festival and it was the best part of our whole trip!! The tour guides were super friendly and welcoming! We did everything; Waterfall repelling, zip lining, Atv riding and horse back riding. Everything was so much fun, more than we expected. It was all throughout the jungle too, so surreal. This is a great company to book through if you’re thinking of doing those kinds of activities!

I don't even know where to start with this review. Me and my brother called the day before to book a waterfall rappelling tour here at Ocean Ranch Park. The next morning we drive 3.5 hours to Jaco and showed up ten minutes before our scheduled arrival time, only to find no employees staffing the reception desk, and a family of 5 waiting around near the entrance. After about 15 minutes someone appeared on an ATV and told everyone to follow him in their cars - no payment collected, no waivers signed, no introduction, nothing, just come follow me down this dirt road in your cars.

Five minutes up the road we go where we decide to ask this single employee what we are supposed to do. "We go for the ziplining!" hr says... So we explain that we are there for the waterfall rappelling, not ziplining, and he quite literally scratched his head at us. Then mumbled confusion, told us to wait and sped away in a truck.

10 minutes later he re appears, saying "It's ok, we will do the rappeling first, the zipliners can wait 20 minutes." Ok, great, except we reserved a 2 hour waterfall canyoning tour with 4 separate falls, and you're going to give us a 20 minute hack job of one? And still have the audacity to expect us to pay 65 bucks!! We decide to wait around and hope for the best.

Unfortunately, the best never came close. The lone guide started tearing apart a storage shed, saying he couldn't find enough harnesses or helmets. WHAT!? You operate a ziplining tour, it's Saturday, and you don't have helmets or harnesses!!! Away he went again in his truck while a second guide appeared and started slowly harnessing the family of 5. When we asked if he knew that we were doing the waterfall tour his response was simply "yes, waterfall" as he walked away to look for more harnesses. By this time it is 2:45, an hour and fifteen minutes passed our booked time, and two people are harnessed, 3 helmets are lined up on the ground, and we are sitting in a hut aimlessly.

We decided that it would be an AWFULLY STUPID idea for us to trust these disgustingly disheveled tour operators with our lives. Only two disorganized guides helping people rappel down a waterfall for the first time in their lives!? No thank you, I'll take my chances elsewhere.

As we left, the first guide reappeared in his truck. All he could muster to us was a weak "sorry!" from across the parking lot. Absolutely appalling experience. They ruined our last day on vacation in Costa Rica and didn't even care to boot. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, THE FIVE STAR RATING IS A FARCE.

Overall the ziplining was fun however I purchased the photo package upfront and they never delivered the photos via email as they said. I have contacted them several times and I'm told they are working on it. I will update this if they ever resolve the issue, but it doesnt seem likely, and not likely to receive a refund

I would not recommend paying for anything until you see the photos.

My wife and I had an excellent time with our combo package of ATV, Rappelling and Zip-line with the Park at Ocean Ranch. From start to finish we had a pleasurable experience with our guides, who were able to communicate with us as well as provide laughs and information to keep us safe. Our zip line guides Arnold, Luis and Jesus were great to make sure we were using the equipment correctly and encouraging the whole group. The zip lines themself Range from short and quick to one that last longer than a minute and gives you a great view of the park. As far as the ATV goes our guide Jose was great at knowing which spots made for great photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.

I have found with my time in Costa Rica that so much of the fun is based on the people. This was the case with our horseback riding tour. It was just me, Casey, and a woman from San Francisco on the tour and Lomar was our tour guide. Lomar was the best. He immediately had Casey and I laughing the instant we got out of the van. He is a very funny guy with that laid-back Jamaican dead-pan kind of delivery and he made the trip so much fun. He made us feel like we were long-time friends. He taught us very quickly how to control the horse as Casey and I were both first-timers. My horse, Brownie, was an angel. He was very well behaved and Lomar gave me the confidence and advice so that I even got to let Brownie run for a bit when we went up a hill. Very exhilarating! The rest of the time was just a nice leisurely trot through the jungle. Lomar showed us some very cool plants. I forget the names but one created a red oil that the indigenous people used to use as paint, one was the plant they use to make Bengay(it smells just like it), and one created smoke when you shook it! Another thing that was great was Lomar is an expert with the iphone photos and even made a PERFECT slow-motion video of me and Casey in front of the waterfall. I will say that this was an experience we will never forget!(and I'm pretty sure Lomar and Barbie will never forget Casey!!) Oh and I almost forgot about Lassie who was the cutest dog and was with us the whole way, which was icing on the cake :) My legs will be VERY sore tomorrow but this experience was 10000% worth it!

The horsebacktour was really nice and peacefull. They take really good care of the horses. The property is really big and te tour to the waterfall was nice. We have seen some birds and a frog. The dog walked the whole tour with us to take care after us :). The tour took about 2 hours. The tour costs 65 dollar, a little bit overpriced. The amount of time/value doesn't really compare to the price you pay.

I booked this tour while staying in Jaco, which is a short drive away (15 Min) from the tour/ adventure. The company sent a shuttle to our hotel at 7:40 a.m. to begin the day. Upon arriving we signed our waivers and selected our horses to begin the adventure. The day consisted of horseback riding for an hour or so, waterfall grappling, zip lining (insanely fun), lunch, and finally atv riding through the creeks, mud, and grass areas. I highly recommend this tour as the ranch is breathtaking, the guides are excellent and funny, and it's a full day! You cant go wrong with this tour.

The evening before we went we called to see if we needed a reservation. The owner Gregg got back to us on What’s App. He was very friendly and informative. What an amazing day! Part of our group arrived late and the staff was very patient waiting for all 10 of us to show up. We had kids ranging from 4-14 years and 4 adults. I am scared of heights and speed. I thought I was going to chicken out for sure - almost having a panic attack! Lamar was amazing! So patient and funny too! He was able to accommodate the Spanish and English speakers in our group. He was accompanied by Luis who did a great job as well! We had a four year old with us!! They were phenomenal with her and she felt so very safe!! Next we split the group in half and some did horseback riding and the other repelling. Unfortunately it started to pour, thunder and a some lighting. The horses did a super job staying in line behind our leader Jose with another man in the rear. These horses are well cared for and just stayed in a line and were so well behaved. We did get totally soaked but who can control the weather!? Pack extra clothes as they have a shower which my son did use. I wore Keens and it was great for all the adventures. The lunch was very eye appealing and delicious. Two of the kids ordered seconds! We even were able to order beers. All in all we had a super day. Thank you to your staff for their patience, humor, and assistance!
