Beautiful Scenery & Good Beach....Surfs Up!!

Definitely worth a visit. Sand isn't the greatest, but really good beach for being right in Jaco. They do a nice job keeping it clean though. Scenery to the north and south is... read more

Jaco beach is not what you would expect. It is dirty and loaded with trash. It is very difficult to walk on due to it is not very well taken care of. Beware where you walk

We been here three times now, and we'll come back again. This place is amazing and gorgeous, the people, the food ,nature and the beach, well is one of the most beautiful places we been. Even though is a small town there is so much to do and if you like to explore you came to the right place too,... More

We drove through Jaco on our way to Manuel Antonio and I was very dissapointed. It's like Daytona Beach gone bad. Not a nice beach, ugly, run down town with a rough element walking around. Keep going!

It's a volcanic ash beach so it's. It the white sandy beaches everyone dreams of. Great surf on the southern end and lots of ways to get down there. We swam for a few hours and enjoyed jumping in the crashing waves. I would recommend not going out too far if you aren't a strong swimmer as the undertow can... More

Definitely worth a visit. Sand isn't the greatest, but really good beach for being right in Jaco. They do a nice job keeping it clean though. Scenery to the north and south is just breathtaking and you can see why the surfers flock here. Even without a board, the surf is something to experience. I wouldn't let little kids in... More

We stayed at the north end of the beach in November. What a beautiful beach. Great for walking and exploring.

In the morning the beach didn't impress us at all. Lots of gravels all over. Quite a transformation when the low tide started around noon. The sea receads over 200 meters and the beach becomes like a solid mirror. Walks are amazing in the afternoon!!! Sunset is amazing!

Jaco Beach is a nice beachtown. The walk along the shops offers a glimpse of Costa Rica shopping kind of like shopping at an art and craft fare in the US. The beach itself looks good, water is warm, but the beach does not look very clean to just sit on the sand. The waves are mellow and the beach... More

I've been to many beaches around the world and this was, in my opinion, average at best. I f you like to surf in Costa Rica, I guess this would be good. Pros: Palm trees Cons: Beach was rocky, hard and dirty. We are more of the clean, soft white sand, turquoise water kind of people. It's also very, very... More
