Rei and his staff were so incredible. Very friendly and accommodating. We had the best day of our entire trip. We fed monkeys, had them climb all over us. Swam in waterfalls, and they transported us to and from our Airbnb. Highly recommend!

Excellent guide, tour and experience. David traveled with us, educated us on the country's regions, the local area and customs, places to eat and was a wealth of knowledge. He and the staff were very friendly, fun and patient with us when we asked questions and toured around.

The tour guide for our trip was amazing! We learned about culture, their day to day life and got to experience amazing waterfalls!
We did the shortened version and it was perfect. We will try the longer version next visit !!

Neo Fauna is a rare find. We saw the signs along 34 going from Punta Leona to Jaco and decided to take a look. It's off the beaten path and you travel through a small village with chickens and dogs lining the street. We hopped on and were greeted by Ray who explained the two trips and given the time of day we took the 1.5 hour option. Ray was great; attentive and knowledgeable. It's a 20 drive up a river to two waterfalls. It's steamy so the cool water is refreshing... it's a great trip. The other is a three hour, 10 waterfall excursion we planned on taking with the whole family but we ran out of time! It's a reason to go back to Costa Rica and get a waterfall experience for a great price. Please, please take the time and go to Neo Fauna. You support the locals and the rain forest conservation initiative. Thanks Ray!

We stayed in Jaco for 2 nights and found Neo Fauna online. We have 3 kids (13, 11 and 8 years old) and we wanted to have an easy adventure that wasn't that far away from Jaco Beach. Happy we went to Neo Fauna! It was easy to get to via Uber and we just walked in without any appointment. Luis arranged for a waterfall tour for us that day since we only wanted to spend 1-2 hours "adventuring", the monkey tour was further away and we didn't have more time (next time for sure). Anyway, while we were waiting for our truck, we checked out the butterfly enclosure and Julio talked about the life cycle of the Owl and blue butterflies. He was very passionate about his wards and showed us a special smaller enclosure with some fragile cocoons and eggs. Learned a lot while waiting.

When the pick up truck arrived, we all rode in the back. There were ropes to hold onto since it was a bouncy, splashy, "duck your head" kind of ride on the back of the open truck. The waterfall was a bit of a walk after we parked the car. Wear comfortable shoes you wont mind getting wet. Our guide David kept us entertained showing us some birds and the edible and non-edible leaves we passed along the way. The waterfalls were small but impressive enough for the kids, we made it to two waterfalls and stayed there a bit taking pictures and swimming in the cold water. Bottled water and pineapple were provided so no need to bring your own. We brought our water jug and regretted it. Will definitely recommend this for families with young kids looking for a bit of excitement, nature, and exercise. Will definitely come back next time for the monkey tour! Tip: bring ziplocks for your phones, two of ours got dunked in the water during the tour.

Co-owner Reinier also went over and beyond what was expected, he drove us to the nearest ATM after the tour when we said we only had a credit card (we mentioned this before the tour began) and even gave us a short tour of Jaco. We felt safe and take care of. We feel like we found a friend. Thanks Rei!

We came across this company doing research & the signs across the roads. So glad we went & found our more of what they do. A great Conservation Charity who are helping the introduction & care for Wild Animals in Costa Rica. We went on the Monkey tour with Julio, what a great guide & tour to see the Wild Cappuchins who come down from the jungle to play with us & feed. Great to be up that close to Wildlife, & worth every penny as its going to a great cause. Great work guys! We will sure to visit again. A highlight of our trip! Liam & Megan

We did the waterfall tour. It was amazing, and the guides were great. It’s a Jeep ride and strenuous hike to get to the top, but once up there it is great!

We took the waterfall tour and it was amazing! Our guides, Julio, David and Reiner really enhanced the experience, plus the price we paid for the tour will help reopen the wildlife rescue center that the government closed when the pandemic hit.
