Not to be confused with the Mirador Jaco which is the abandoned hotel overlooking the city (also known as El Miro).
A good location to see Jaco and enjoy the nature at the same time. Parking on the cape, you can look at the forest on one side of the road and the Pacific Ocean on the other side. Red macaws live in the trees and lizards on the shore. Don't go bathing as the undertow is really strong there.
A nice stop to observe the beauty of nature when entering the city.

Nice stop at sunset! Jaco Sign is iconic and everyone stopped on the side of the road. Great vistas of Jaco.

Highly recommend! This free (although there is a non-official man who directs you to park and then asks for money) is a good hike through the jungle to a cool, abandoned building covered in graffiti art overlooking the ocean. This may be an easy hike for seasoned hikers, but you should be in decent condition with no injuries since it is up, hot and humid. As noted in another review, look for the “parking lot” across from the gas station, then walk towards the restaurant. We didn’t see any monkeys or sloths, but we saw butterflies and leaf cutter ants.

Mirador Jaco is nice to park the car and enjoy beautiful views of Jaco. It can be crowded but still worth the stop as it’s for free and offer beautiful ocean views... Take a look...

Nice spot on the way, great for pictures, videos or any kind of footage you need, specially on dry season!

Be very careful with your belongings when visiting this place. All my bags were stolen out of the trunk of my locked rental car in broad daylight with other people around while I enjoyed the view for less than 15 minutes. The police and the local merchants at the location were not helpful either and do not speak any English. Apparently these crimes are not uncommon either.

Beautiful view of the ocean and Playa Jaco. We stopped here on our way to Manuel Antonio to take photos and also got some fresh fruit from a vendor that had a tent set up near the sign. They were selling other food there too.

We pulled over for a quick ice cream pit stop and forgot to lock our car, we didn’t notice until we drove a little ways down the road that both of our backpacks were stolen from the car. The Jaco sign is cool but don’t leave valuables in your car and always lock it!

How heart breaking to go back to this place ignorant talentless taggers have painted over all the amazing artist work, I could have cried. Where there was once beauty is not crap . Shame shame

We took a taxi. We actually met a taxi driver in san jose and stuck with him throughout the whole trip. It felt safer and we were able to negotiate pricing.
