Surf With Amigas' all-inclusive surf and yoga retreats are a place for adventurous women (and sometimes men too!) to support and inspire each other in surfing and in life. Whether you are ready to catch your very first wave, become more confident in the water, transition to riding a shortboard, cross-step on a longboard, or get barreled, our surf coaching program and team of experienced lady instructors will help you achieve your goals. We welcome all ages, body types, and skill levels. Aside from our surf coaching program our daily yoga classes are tailored to the special needs of surfers. Life and travel are not simply about catching waves! We love exploring our surroundings, immersing ourselves in the local scene, and trying wild and crazy new things. We currently host retreats at a variety of locations including Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Mexico, Peru and Indonesia.

I just attended my first retreat at the Southern Costa Rica location with Surf With Amigas and all I can say is WOW! I don't even know where to begin. The instructors Jackie, Coco, and Shelly were kind, knowledgeable, cool, and as one amiga put it "They pushed me to push myself." The eco-lodge location we stayed at was stunning and had all the amenities you need for a week of surfing and adventure. The yoga pavilion was beautiful and the yoga classes were paced for beginners/tailored to help with recovery from an active week. I'm not a yoga person but Coco made me actually like it! The food was fresh and amazing every single meal and we all especially liked the homemade hot sauce. The surf theory classes and video review helped all of us immensely and it was so cool getting to see ourselves improve each day.
In addition to getting to surf every day, we rode horses to a waterfall, got to help release baby sea turtles back into the ocean, took a boat trip to the Osa Peninsula to surf and hang at a great hotel, went on a great nature hike with a local guide, and even got to go on a full moon surf! The SWA team was constantly making us laugh and encouraging and supporting us as we surfed. I love that SWA donates to the local turtle conservancy as well.
This retreat was planned so perfectly that none of us wanted to leave. I will definitely be back again in the future and can't recommend Surf With Amigas enough!

If I could give this a 10 star rating, I would. From the incredible location, salt of the earth staff (Jackie AND Holly), the individual coaching, transportation to various surf spots, activities like horseback riding and exploring the jungle. This was by far the best vacation I've ever been on in my entire life. I improved my surfing skills more in one week than the entire year I've been surfing. The staff (Coaches, Yoga/Massage, kitchen staff, photographers) are all top notch people with a commitment to making the week feel dedicated to ever single person in attendance. I cannot wait until my next trip with Surf with Amigas. I will recommend them to everyone I know and continue to ensure I have atleast 2 trips with them per year moving forward... it is VERY MUCH worth the cost!

Touching a surf board for the very first time in my life with Surf With Amigas was exactly what I hoped for. I felt free and safe to enjoy thrilling adventures that maybe I would have been too intimidated to do on my own (like going surfing, horseback riding, hiking up to a waterfall, etc). it was so fun and empowering to learn how to surf with my wonderfully supportive group of amigas in a beautiful tropical paradise! As a woman of size I was especially nervous, but I not only made it up on a board, I did it with a group of women cheering me on! The southern Costa Rica retreat location is my new happy place and I hope to get back there soon.

My first Surf With Amigas trip has been the highlight of my year. The whole experience was special. It reignited my passion for surfing. The yoga classes after surfing were perfect to help stretch/relax our bodies. The food and staff were amazing. I learned so much from the instructors during paddle school, in the water, and during post-surf video reviews.
Best of all, I made so many new friends and still keep in touch with them! We have a little Bay Area Amigas crew and we just had a Santa Cruz surf reunion weekend. We’re also signing up to do another retreat together. One piece that stuck out to me was how supportive the group was the entire week. The instructors were so positive and each person was cheering each other on, from beginners catching their first wave to more intermediate amigas working on pumping and turning.
Cannot recommend enough that you’ll love attending a Surf With Amigas retreat! You’ll leave it feeling reenergized/refreshed. I left it feeling fulfilled and eager to attend another retreat!

SWA is a special retreat. So much support, inclusivity and comradery, it blew me away! The surf coaching was awesome and helped so much to see the videos post surf sesh to talk about improvements. They helped all levels. The excursions were amazing - we saw baby turtles hatch, went on a sunset cruise on a private sail boat and saw moneys, aligators, birds and lots of other wildlife. The hotel was great, food was delicious and location couldn't be beat. Everyone was so easy-going and it was up to each of us how much or how little we wanted to do without feeling guilty. The beach break was so nice, sunsets all-time and board selection was stellar. I will make this a yearly thing. And bring my 14 year old niece next time, she would LOVE it! 11/10 would recommend!

Hands down one of the best trips I have ever been on. The communication was great, the food stellar, and the company incredible. The coaching was quality as well. I felt so supported and safe. I loved the daily (optional) itinerary, early mornings, second breakfast, and the positivity all over the place. I've already booked my next retreat!

I wasn't sure what to expect but any expectation I would have had was simply blown out of the water. This retreat knocked it out of the park with the location, surf instuctors, many many delicious meals, the waves,Yoga, air conditioning, horse back riding, making chocolate and the list goes on. The environment is beautiful and they create a safe space for all. I highy recommend.

I just completed the Surf With Amigas Lux Retreat in Costa Rica (Dominical) and don't have words to describe what a beautiful and fulfilling experience it was. Not only were the accommodations at Lamangata Costa Rica luxurious, but the service was also white glove. For those looking to level up their serving, the coaching at Surf With Amigas is five-star (both in the water and through video analysis). For those wanting to try surfing for the first time, you won't find a safer and more supportive environment. This is my second Surf with Amigas retreat and I can't wait to book another.

Highly recommend this surf camp for anyone interested in leveling up their surf skills while having a ton of fun. The food was incredible, the housing was great, and the instructors are talented and insightful teachers. Can’t recommend SWA enough! I’m going on my third SWA trip this Fall.
