Your private driver will meet you at the airport or your hotel and escort you to your first destination. He describes the culture and the country and shares little known facts on the way. An example of just one of our tours: You arrive to the river where your guide meets you to go over safety rules and make sure you are comfortable and ready for your experience. You start your adventure down the class III and IV rapids with an experienced guide who demonstrates his skills navigating down the river. Hold on, smile and enjoy!! You will stop midway on the river shore for a unique lunch Pacuare river style! After lunch you continue down the river where you meet indigenous families and see native wildlife. Look for turtles, birds and sloths! At the end of the tour we meet up with our driver to take us back to the hotel. Pura Vida!! Well Done!!

My boyfriend and I went on their chocolate tour with Dexter. Dexter was very interactive with the group, showed us various animals (sloths, toucans, monkeys) along the way and answered all of our questions. He’s very knowledgeable! During the tour, we hiked through the cacao farm to a beautiful viewpoint that overlooked the jungle and ocean where we sampled many tasty chocolates. Highly reccomend this tour!

Love chocolate? Well, we learned a great deal with this experience and I would highly recommend it. Made me appreciate what goes into the process from taking a cacao bean and converting it into a tasty delight. Fairly steep and rugged hike to see the trees, pods, processing and tasting. Wear good shoes. Our guide Andrea was excellent!

We really enjoyed our tour with Oscar, he made it totally awesome for us :) We found out everything about chocolate and tasted few samples - even mixed our own bites with herbs and seasoning. During the tour Oscar showed us sloths, red frogs and other animals.

Very cool tour from a very knowledgeable guide, Andrea, who has skin in the game! Co-owner and restorer of former cacao plantation in process of changing the cacao game in Costa Rica. I had no idea terroir also made a huge difference in chocolate as well as wine. Fascinating and as good as, if not better, than anything else in the area...and no false advertising. Don't leave the area without making a visit and taking the tour!
