We were recommended to visit here over the sloth sanctuary in Cahuita by the owner of our accommodation as they are focused on releasing the animals in their care as often as possible. This also means that the animals you will see depends on what is in their care at the time...sadly for us, no jaguars but we did see... More

We did a 90 minute tour of the rescue centre & absolutely loved it. We are so grateful to have had the experience of seeing & learning about the many animals at the centre. We saw.... Monkeys, snakes, Wildcats, owls, American crocodiles, caimans, white tail deer, frog, sloths, anteater, pelican, parrots & baby possums. Our guide Rachel was superb...... Kind,... More

Got to see and photograph many animals and knew I was contributing to a great project that returns animals to the wild every week. It is well worth the price and two hours!

My daughter and I did the private tour, which I highly recommend. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well as the organization's history. We learned a lot about the habits of local wildlife and the circumstances that brought the creatures to the rescue center. What was great about the private tour was that it... More

Well worth a visit if you're in Puerto Viejo, we rented bikes and made a day tour out of it, on the way there you can make a few stops at the beaches. It's nice that all the profit goes to the animals. I'm a biiig fan of slots so this really melted my heart!

Tours are at 9.30 and 11.30 so don't miss the time. Thought it was a bit steep for entry but ended up being an amazing tour through the refuge centre & you appreciate that all the funds from entry are going somewhere tangible. Heaps of animals, super informative guide. Lasted for 3hours.

Had an awesome day here. The volunteers are wonderful, we had the best guide, an English girl. They do a lot of good stuff for the animals.

I visited the foundation specifically to see baby monkeys, but i was surprised to see much more. What a great tour guide! The tour guide new more about sloths than in the sloth center!! The tour is long because the guide explains so much but it is worth it! If you want to see baby sloths, this is the place... More

Our guide did a terrific job explaining the different animals, their habits and the overall environment here. Tour last about 1.5 hours and very valuable if you are interested in the indigenous species.

A group of 10 of us went and had a great time. We were served a nice dinner or rice, beans, pasta, pita, fruit, and chocolate cupcakes. The hike was probably only 1-2 miles but took about an hour to get through with stopping to look at everything. We saw tons of spiders, insects, click beetles (they glow in the... More
